I have tried it many times....but never got it right. Its amazing to see people eating noodles with chopsticks. And what amazes me the most is when they eat even rice with it. I mean rice is so small pieces, how on earth can one enjoy that dish with chopsticks. Have you ever tried to use a chopstick?

When I was young, I used to use fork and spoon pretty much for most of my meals. Then one day, dad gave me and my brother an ultimatum - learn to use chopsticks or no dinner. Man, that was tough. I remembered trying so hard at one time that my fingers became weak for a few days. But now I'm proud to say that I'm pretty good at it.

You said it man! But at that time I was using chopsticks with pointed ends. Whenever dad's not looking, I use to poke into my food just like a fork ;p

There are enough "sides" and real food at most Chinese buffets to fill up on. ;~D

I can use chopticks only when eating my noodle. I do not use it often i prefer spoon and fork because i am used to using them. However i am good in making chopticks as accessory in hair styling. If you put choptick in a bun of hair, it will stay snug all day. Chines people eating with chopticks are really amazing to look at. I do not know, maybe they have a technique on how to hold them right. If i try using it on rice, i bet i would be wasting food cause probably i would only make rice fly across the table.

lol...this is what is happening right now with me whenever i try using the chopsticks on rice. I dont know but they dont stick on it. I try too hard but as i raise the sticks to my mouth, there is not even a single piece of rice on it. Dont have any other option than try.
