The heat of the summer

Here in India it is terrribly very hot in summers and we elders cant tolerate this and many gets attacked to illhealt exposed to this summer,so i never allow my little one out during middays and we take him out only in the evenings and in the home all the day i make him sit infront of cooler and make him play inside only as many kids suffer with the dehydration problem in this season ,so i dont want to take any chance.-

I spent a couple of years in the middle east of my youth, was about 7~9 in age at that time and my brother around 5~7. Even though the temperatures were like 45+ degrees in summer we spent a lot of time outside. Did tend to find the shade though or water to play in since in the sun shining directly on you the temperature felt even a lot higher. In the midst of the day though from like 12 till 3 we tended to stay in door though, first school in the morning then just eat and such and go out as the sun is basically already setting a bit.

I live in Scotland so the heat is never an issue here - it's not the warmest climate in the world! However, I still used sunscreen on my daughter all the time when she was young because the sun is still damaging and on the rare occasions when it could be described as hot here I made sure she wasn't exposed to the sun for too long.

here in pakistan islamabad it get very hot during the summer months and i just dont feel comfortable to go out side specially in the day i often go out side after the noon and in the starting of evening and i like this part of the day so much

We don't get outrageously hot days often here in Massachusetts. Occasionally there will be a weather advisory that the humidity & the heat is high enough to be dangerous. On those days we stay inside with the A/C. But otherwise, we're outside. I make sure Peter stays well hydrated with water, and juice pops. And use plenty of sunblock. I have friends in Texas we visit every few years. I find even in that heat, so long as you stay hydrated & aren't too active (and who wants to be very active when the temp is 105 in the shade) the kids do alright. If it seems too hot to be outside, I'd head to the air conditioned library or an indoor playground like McDonalds.
