here's a question I've been dying to ask.....Whom do you want to Win in '08 ?? I can't decide between Hillary , or OBama. I Love the Clinton's . Boy.... wouldn't it be great to know that Bill is Back ???? But then....I really Like OBama too. This Country needs a " wake - up Call " and I hope we get it in ' 08 At any rate....no matter whom you vote for...." we can only do better."

I hope that the Democrats will chose Obama as the official party candidate. Though I really admire Hillary Clinton, I am more in favor of having the first black president rather than have the first woman president. However, I think Hillary has a higher chance of being selected. If that is the case, then we will have to choose Hillary over the GOP candidate.

While I do not mean to imply that it would not be ground breaking if either a black president or a woman president is elected, these two facts should not be a reason for voting for either candidate. The choice of whom to vote for as the next President of the United States should not be based either on gender or race. Rather it should be based on the individual candidates beliefs, and their stance on the important issues facing our country today. I am afraid that too many people will turn this into a chance to "change history" by voting in either a woman or a black into office. While I am not against either as president - I was actually considering voting for Hillary until I did some further research and found that I really do not trust her - I seriously hope that Americans make an informed decision that will truely help our country. If they don't I am afraid of what will become of the United States in the coming years.

Tombiz I have to agree with you on this opinion of yours. However hopefully you and others will vote for the candidate who you believe will have the power to bring others to th table and gain the results he/she promised to deliver, be they Republican or Democrat. It is their personal power you have to look to as well in basing your decision to cast your vote with is so very all important. Dragonfly77

Agfarm I believe that using your vote is the most important matter in this election. USING your vote is your way of demonstrating your wishes and hopes for the country and the direction it may travel in come years of 2009 and beyond....using your vote is your piece of political power. I pray that the choices the voters make in this election will be an excellant choice for the well being of the country. Good luck in making your untimate decision come voting day. Dragonfly77

I am Curious....This has a similar ring to it , which I've been hearing about in Various news media Outlets. I thought I had Made my mind up. But.....My vote will be an Informed One rest assured. The Democrats are Organized , the Republicans aren't . It's that Simple. Of course there is the whole " Dark horse " Element. But Have no Fear....My vote will be One , which I won't regret.

Agfarm: Thanks for the good question. I have many thoughts on many of the candidates, however this lengthy episole about the confusion that seems to surround this race for President is this. Almost a WHOLE YEAR stretches before the voting public for one of the most important positions a person can hold in the United States of America and indeed, a very important position and presence in the entire world. IF your serious about your role in this election begin a quest, begin a project to discover which of the 16 or more candidates meets your standards and criteria for President. Make your project an adventure in discovery, take each and every candidate and examine them "before" they became candidates. Examine them in their personal business/career lives. FIND out as much about each of them as you possibly can. I would say though, rule out religion, that issue is private and belongs only to the candidate, religion only gets in your way. What religion a person practices has no bearing on what someone else believes and visa versa. IT is how they have conducted themselves over the many years of their working careers that is of importance. Check out these candidates as thoroughly as you would check out a house you intend to buy, check out the foundation of the candidate, check the plumbing, the electrical system and the construction of the roof, are the walls plaster or gyp-rock? VOTE for the candidate that best suits your personal concept of how you believe your government and country should be governed - you hold the vote and only you can utilize it if you do your homework. ONCE you are satisfied with a specific candidate. Searching through these candidates as they have progressed as working adults and how they have conducted themselves during their careers. FIND out if that candidate meets your list of concerns, has the candidate been true to their concepts all along, or, have they changed or abandoned those concepts to meet the needs of their campaign backers. IS the candidate standing true to their own ideals? REMEMBER you hold the power of your vote and only you can exercise your vote, if you use your diligence and the time from now until voting day, you will discover which of the candidates meets your personal perceptions of who you'd like to see govern your nation. I haven't really answered your question, but, I believe if you make this quest for yourself, you will retreive your own answer. GOOD luck in your quest. Dragonfly77

I am really hoping to see Mike Huckabee become our next President. I am a Christian and so is he and he has values and morals. I really like his personality as well. IMO, Hillary would be the worst of all!

I'm answering this 8 months after you started this discussion and the day after the Iowa Caucuses. I've been undecided all along but I believe no matter who gets the Democratic nomination he or she will be our next President and things have to be better than they've been under George W. Bush. The turn-out for the caucuses was much, much higher than they'd dared hope for and I think that's a strong indication that the people are starved for real change! I'm hoping for a good debate among the top three Democrats and I sincerely believe each of them would make an excellent President. Annie
