broken marriage

Divorced, legally separated and annulled marriage were increasing yearly. I think a marriage should last forever, but most of the time i've seen a lot of couple decided to separate their ways. So, now i would like to ask, what might be the root cause of broken marriage? What do you think?

There are a lots of reason behind separation. I guess this is too long to enumerate in here :D. There is really no root cause because the cuase comes from different reasons. It could be financial, emotional, psychological, so so many things that could cause the problem. So I think there is no central or root cause because anything could make things worse in a marriage.
