If you didn't have to get up early, what time would you like to get up?

This is especially for all those of you who are real grumps in the morning--LOL---I'm not a morning person myself, in fact I do get up later than most people only because being a night owl, and in front of the computer until quite late I go to bed later, say 4 in the morning...so I'm not exactly rise and shine at 6 or 7 in the morning. But if you had the luxury of NOT having to get up early in the morning, what time would you LIKE to be up....come on now...fess up...what time would you really like to get up? Hehehe

I am a night owl too and these days I sleep between midnight or 2 AM and then I wake up at 9 AM. I don't feel fresh at all until around lunch time though.

If i didn't have to get up early for work (about 6:30am-7:00am) i'd proably stay in bed untill about 12:00pm!!! I'm most defiantely not a morning person, much more of a night person, so i'd stay up much later and then sleep in much late.

If I had the luxury of not getting up for work, I would normally get up between 8 and 9 a.m. I am not a morning peson, but I don't like to sleep most of the day away either. I have to get up now at 5 a.m. and I hate it.

Eleven o clock would be the best time for me to get up. At that time I would just enjoy brunch and the first part of the day would be over.

I am a morning person and get up at 4:30 am every morning (except weekends) and since I work from home I am able to go back to sleep for a little bit, but it is nothing like being able to sleep without interruption or getting up, if I did not have to get up early everyday I still would probably get up around 8:00 am, I am not one to sleep late on any day, my Mother used to get me up early when I was kid saying I was sleeping the day away, so now I try not to sleep the day away, at least not everyday.

Well, we all know that I am definitely a big grouch in the mornings, no matter what time I went to bed the night before. I couldn't be a morning person if my life depended on it. Well.....maybe with a caffeine IV drip....LOL. If I had my way, I would not get up until at LEAST 1:00 in the afternoon. It's always been easy for me to sleep late, even with the sun shining into my room. I've even slept through the entire day until the sun went down at night.

I'm beginning to wonder if us cat people are the night owl types...cats always seem to "tune up" in the wee small morning hours, then sleep all day--LOL

LOL - I am a morning person but to be honest there are times that I would love to sleep until 7 or 8, my normal time is 4 or 5, if I sleep until 6 I feel like half my day is gone.

Lol I'm a night owl as well. I would love to sleep in on occasion till like 11 Am or so. Humm maybe just one day of lounging about would be fun. Being self employed allows me to get up as needed. If I have a client at 10 Am. I will get up at 8 Am to get ready. This allows me time to have coffee and wake up lol. Ok just once I would like to put the covers over my head and sleep till noon, then be mad at myself for wasting the day away.

If I have to I will get up early..as early as 7 sometimes..the of course that means going to bed a heck of a lot earlier than my usual 4 in the morning...though I don't relish it..bit most of the time I usually get up around 11:00 which most people might think is real late..heheh--I've improved though..used to go to bed around 7 in the morning up around 4 in the afternoon!! I really wouldn't want to do that now..I do like having some day time hours now

Lol, well, I've just about broken the cycle of Insomnia, and am enjoying being woken at 8.00am before my kids go to school, and my partner goes to work. Going to bed at 1am as opposed to 4am has some benefits LOL. If I didn't have to get up at that time, I'd probably stay in bed till 10am or so - no later though. And I'd have to know that my partner was getting up with the kids LOL.

On rare days when I sleep in, I usually wake up about 9:00. If I sleep much later, I tend to be groggy, even if I went to bed pretty late. Normally I go to bed around midnight these days. Some nights I even sleep!

Well, now that I am a mommy, that is no longer even a consideration except on weekends when hubby is home. I would probably sleep to 10:00 on my own accord, if possible. I too am a night owl and kind of grumpy in the morning. But I am the first to say that it has nothing to do with getting to sleep in. Even when I completely get all the sleep I need, I am not pleasant to be around for at least 30 minutes after I wake up. Dont stand between me and the coffee pot in the mornings!!!

I am in the luxury position myself that I dont have to get up that early, either! I work out of my own place, mostly start at 5 in the afternoon. And I have a little boy (almost 2 years old) that likes to sleep in. So we get out of our beds around 09.30. Take an easy time together for a shower and breakfast. Do some grocery shopping and take a nap in the afternoon together, too. I am very happy with this kind of life, it treats me well!

I like the idea of not getting up till 10 or 10:30, but that isn't a realistic option. I miss those single days before children and responsibilities and being able to sleep in or stay up as late as I pleased. Geez, sometimes I would even lay around and read, earing cold pizza in bed!
