There is no magic method to staying fit and healthy. You will have to put in effort. Get at least 8 hours of quality sleep per night. Sleep is very important and is often overlooked. Eat a balanced diet. Watch how much salt and suger you consume. Make sure you eat at least 5 portions of fruit and veg per day. Drink plenty of water. Aim to drink about 8 glasses of water per day. Get excercise! There is no way round it; if you want to stay healthy you must keep fit and excercise. There is no easy way to stay fit and healthy. Most people know what it takes but lack motivation to do it. I would say get into the right frame of mind and you can really improve your health.

Eating healthy is extremely important. You want to avoid fast food places, and always try to get your vitamins and minerals. And even though you said other than exercise, it is really important. But I'm sure you know that already. :) Getting enough sleep is important as well, and something that you wouldn't think of as being important, but I heard somwhere that the more sleep you get, the longer you live! And I believe it! And frequent trips to the doctor just to make sure everything is ok are good too. I hope this helps!
