for men, what is your favourite tailoring material for shirts? for women, what is your favourite material for dresses? I like shantung silk, but it can be a little stiff at times. Recently, I have discovered the beauty of satin as well. even for work blouses it is nice. Don't really like chiffon cos it comes across as a little too saccharine.

Hmm... I don't know, but the material I love wearing is a quite silky to the touch, but is made of cotton. Heard of the brand Dapper Club? I have never really paid attention to the material of a piece of clothing till my wife sat me down to select materials for her MTM wedding gown. It was really an eye-opener! Satin is a very versatile material. It is good for blouses, skirts, dresses and gowns. Chiffon is more of a stiff material, good for making dresses and long skirts.
