What I do is turn on the TV and watch something to tune my mind off the negative thoughts. Sorta like changing the Thought channel. With the help of a TV. And there is a remote to boot too![em]lol[/em]

Once you can see the thought materialize on paper, it makes it easier to actually SEE them. And when you can recognize the negative thoughts, it is easier to dispel them. At least, that worked for me.
