I am just wondering if that's alright. I don't have so many ideas to start new discussions but I have so many beautiful and inspiring stories that I want to share...Is that alright? Isn't it against myLot guidelines?

I have heard that it is okay to copy and paste after you reach the 500 posts mark. I have also heard that it is against Mylot guidelines to copy and paste certain things from certain websites. I am really confused about it also so I try not to copy and paste anything. I am afraid to copy and paste and have my points and earnings deducted. I am also afraid to copy and paste something because someone else may have already copied and pasted what I did. I would say you can ask Mylot and they will give you the true answer to it. Good luck and best wishes.

Ok, thanks for that one. I am really afraid to copy and paste because maybe, it might just get deleted. But I have posted two discussions that I get from my emails. Hope that will be alright. THanks once again.

Mylot does not allow copy and paste. One topic that I shared previously was a little article I wrote 2 years ago. I had to re-type it in Mylot.

Hi friend. I think I took your "copy and paste" literally. Funny me. :)

You must AllWAYS notice the source of your copypaste. Everything else i treat as cheating...and perhaps many people share my opinion. NEVER copypaste discussions of other people -you can do it just with link and your own interpretation or/and comentar. But better be creative and share your own thoughts and ideas. Good luck.

There is a huge misconception and misinformation distributed by mylot members. Yes, it is true that once a member reaches 500 posts they get back the copy and paste feature. But those of us that have been here for quite some time no why mylot took the feature away. See in the early days on mylot (and still today) there were certain types of members that were scamming on mylot by 'copy and pasting' plagiarized and even copyrighted articles and snips of text, and calling it their discussion or response. So, mylot decided to eliminate the copy and paste feature, but new that this caused hardship for many of us ethical and non-cheating members because we had a rough time inserting correct reference links or discussions and responses we may have written on word (used spell and grammar check) and then pasted here. It was decided by mylot that as a reward for creating QUALITY discussions and responses that we would get back the feature once we reached 500. The guidelines clearly state under the Don'ts section that we are NOT allowed to plagiarize, copyright infringe. We can, however, create discussions and responses in our OWN WORDS and quote a snip of text that may validate or give credit to our posting, but we must also include the reference link to where the whole original text can be found. We cannot use whole articles and text we find on another site and give the link and call it a discussion or response either, because technically you are asking mylot to pay you for someone elses words--and that's not right. Do members still do it? Yep, they do unfortunately. But when they are reported for doing that, they will have their discussions and responses that are plagiarized deleted. That hurts other members who have responded to their discussions. In your case, with reference to the inspirational stories you have, you can create a discussion that describes your interpretations of these stories, include a small quoted snip of the story, and give the reference link to where members can read the whole story. I get so tired of members that cheat with plagiarism and they have quality rating stars of 8, 9, 10 and you come to find out that the majority of their discussions and responses are really someone else's words--what a shame.

Hello, joice,I think when you are doing copy and paste,it is better to quote the source so that it will not violate the mylor rules as mylot have deleted many discussions that were not in line with the rules,so if you really want to copy and paste,be sure to do this so that your discussions will not be affected. Good luck.

I think that it is against the rules of myLot. Howver, I am almost sure that your earnings won't be deducted because of it. You have the right to copy and paste what you want but maybe it won't be so interesting for the others and they won't rate your posts so it means that you won't get money from it.

you have to be careful you are not infringing on copyright, and you have to make it into a discussion, the best thing is not to post the whole piece only apart of it and make a discussion about it, for example suppose you posted about someone who took in 17 stray cats you then could ask would you take in stray cats, if you did how many would you take in and also state if you would or wouldn't and why, now that would be a discussion

Ey there joice, i don't think thats possible here. I'm sure you can work on some original posts you can share my friend. I feel the same way too. Countless times thinking of discussions to post drive me nuts. . its never that easy really. Lets just be original and be creative in our little way even if this means a lot grinding to do you know. take care now. (",)

I will be following your discussion to see what answers you get. I do know you can copy and paste after 500 posts.

I am not so sure about it, but I think maybe it is against mylot guidelines. It is better not to completely copy and paste some of the interesting stories you have read. If you have the desire to have mylotters share the stories you like, you can use your own words to retell each story to avoid being against mylot. What do you think of it,my friend?
