Have you read Clan of the Cave bear? The entire series (all 5 books)? I read them last year and I have to say that I'm kind of surprised of how good they were. Long but interesting

no i haven't. I've seen the movie and wasn't really impressed. Are the books better?

Yes I have. I really enjoyed the first three but the last two were not as good. It seemed that she was having trouble sustaining the story line and reverted to rehashing the other books.

I have heard such wonderful things about this series. A friend actually bought me the whole series late last year, I haven't gotten around to actually wanting to read them yet though. I am glad though another person enjoyed them too. Its show I'll probably enjoy them once I get going on them.
