Well, Ms.Joan i grew up in Europe. Germany to be exact. I was there for almost 14 years. So , i guess that would be the farthest place I have been from the Philippines' point of view. When I was still in Germany, me and my parents were able to travel to Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland, and France. Disneyland to be exact in France. We have been to the Eiffel Tower as well. Those were the days. That was in Europe of course. Now, since we are back in the Philippines since 1998, the farthest place I have been here was Pangasinan. It was during my former college classmates' debut in 2004. Though we were unable to travel to whole place, but we have been to that famous church there. Manaoag i think was the name of the church. I have been to Quezon and Mindoro as well. Mindoro was great too. Oh, by the way, I myself am from the province of Batangas.

the farthest i have been away from home was bout 600 miles. I lived in va beach for a while. It just wasnt for me. I was totally miserable had no friends or family. And the job sucked so i moved back home.

Yeah exactly. Id like to go other places to visit but not for a permanet move. I love being here because its my home and i know where everything is. Other then being in va beach i was about 1000 miles away from home when my brother graduated from boot camp.

my first travel alone and the farthest at the time would be manila to baguio and the bus was stranded at 3am in the outskirts of the city. we had to wait for 1 hour to get bus transfers and we had to stand during the ride coz the bus was full. nobody new what day or what time i was arriving in baguio to meet my friend from davao. but it worked out well in the end. the farthest i've been in the philippines would be jolo, sulu. that was about 5 years ago. it's a work-related travel which brought me to zamboanga, lamitan in basilan and sulu. outside the country, i am not so sure which is farther, indonesia or cambodia or korea. in korea, the farthest area i visited was the famous jeju island. i was invited to speak at a conference there 4 years ago.

I went to the South Pole once... in my dream~ hehe :) One of my classmate, a 20-year-old girl went to Hong Kong alone, from Shanghai. I think she is brave, at least more brave than me.
