Liverpool lost against the better team, Liverpool had several chances to win the game, but it was the masterclass from the likes of Pirlo, Kaka and Inzaghi that won this game, Milan had only a few chances in the game and finished them beautifully. This was Milans season I think, before the start of the season Milan were dock about 17 points from Serie A and were not allowed in the Champions League, but Milan won the appeal and were allowed to enter via the 3rd round Qualification stage and also their point reduction from the Serie A was reduced to 9 points. Italy won the world cup last year and Milan won the Champions League this year against all odds and some serious mess ups in the serie revolving around match fixing scandals. The best thing about the Champions League this year was that Milan could finally get their revenge on Liverpool over what happened 2 years ago in Istanbul, it was Milans destiny to meet and beat Liverpool in the final of the Champions League like it was Liverpools destiny to come from 3-0 down in the final 2 years ago against a brilliant Milan side only to lift the Champions with all odds stacked against them.

I only watched the second half of the game, it was showing at 3am in my country. I heard from my friends, liverpool was playing really well in the first half of the game, but I missed it. I'm not Liverpool fans, though I hope they could win the champions. I'm actually feeling ok when AC milan won, coz they were playing really well, weren't they? I saw the second golf by AC milan, I think it's really liverpool's defenders' mistakes by not rescuing it at all. I thought Bellamy is playing very well, but he's not in the game? And Crouch was not in until later, right? I heard my friends saying it's the Benitez's mistake for picking the team who played that game. Well, this season has finally over. We'll look forward to the next season! ^_^

Like you, I'm a die-hard fan. Woke up to watch from 2-5am even though i had to work the next day. very sad... esp since they played so well and had so much possession. what was it? 80%? but this is football. the ball is round. playing well doesn't count. it's the goals that count. cheer up! at least we didn't lose after going up 3-0. the only thing that I'm sore with is the time wasting by Milan during the last 3 mins of injury time. and The Dumb referee not giving pool the full 3 mins. ought to be reviewed and disciplined.

It was a Italian masterclass performance. AC Milan seemed to have learned from Istanbul with both Gattuso and Kaka on rampage for most of the game. Liverpool deployed both Mascherno and Alonso in the holding role, but it was Gattusso who was holding the midfied for AC Milan. As Stevie G said, the better team has won. Cheers! Ram
