not getting a response from mylot

Hello everyone. I'm new here so pardon me for my newbieness. I just really want to ask something that's been bothering me about mylot responses. Do you actually get upset about not getting a comment or response from mylot members? I joined this one discussion that i really really really liked and i didn't get a comment. I checked the discussion page and noticed that my response was the only one without any comment on it. The bad thing is that I felt that I made the best and most substantial response in that discussion. I got upset. Is this a snub or is it normal not to get comments?

hmm..you know..i've been a member for almost 6 months now..and i must say that this really happens..
and yeah..i have a few discussions that were left unread by other mylotters, but its alright..i mean, if no one wants to comment, maybe they just don't get the post..hehe at least i try to think of it that way..^_^

It does not surprise me. It could be due to out of many possible reasons. And it is not really worth to worry too much.
I believe people, in general, are afraid to react to something that may land them with controversy.
sometimes, the person is tired of commenting.
I would say that you do not get upset. Nothing adverse is generally done here intentionally to someone.

I guess it really helps if you put it that way. Yes, I did notice that there are some who are afraid of controversy. since I am a newbie I don't know the unstated rules in mylot yet. I mean, I've read all the guidelines but i think there are other things going on here that I need to learn and get used to.

I think there is no need to worry in it .It is usuall.It is very difficult to get respose in the initial stage as a new user.If you are not getting any respose,try to reply to any discussion of your interest.If you can create good friend here,then your friends will respond to your discussion.Try to create as many friends as you can.

That happens to most of us. I also find it so hard to come up with a discussion that would acquire a lot of attention. I think you just need to develop mind-boggling questions to be able to generate proper responses. I don't think members are snubbing you. It's just that we are all racing to earn posts and it would be a lot better if discussions are worth responding to.

I think no one is snubbing you intentionally. It just takes time. You'll get the hang of it. Continue to post things that you're interested in. Good luck!
