Was the India v Bangladesh Series worthwhile?

With India giving Bangladesh such a hiding in the 2nd test I question whether the series was the beneficial to either side. The way I see it, the Indian batsman were able to boost there career stats with a pile of runs. Tendulkar was able to get 2 more centuries to keep a decent distance between him and the rest of the world for most centuries. What are your thoughts on the series?

We cannot take anything positive in this bangladesh series because we did play against any competitive side to boast off of our performance. We should not do the same mistake to carrying the players on top of our head because of their performance against bangladesh. Let them perform well consistently for some time, then we can say that our team is good but not now.

Yes I think the India Vs Bangladesh Series was worthwhile. From Indian side it helped to find two good openers Jaffer and Karthik. It also helped to keep Karthik and Jaffer into good form just before the Indian series. The ODI series helped to bring Dhoni and Karthik into good form. The series also helped to find some very good youngsters. It helped to keep Zaheer Khan and other bowlers into form just before England series. From Bangladesh point of view, it helped to provide them more experience and also more learning exposure. Also, their couple of players were able to play very good.

I think India bangladesh series was very worthwhile from indian point of view. As after the world cup debacle and all mud slinging that followed between excoach and seniors it was pretty ugly situation. And don't forget bangladesh lately were playing some good cricket esp. in one dayers and were playing at home. So it was important for India to win emphatically there which they did superbly winning the one day series 2-0 & test series 1-0 in clinical fashion. The good thing was the good form of indian batsmen sachin, ganguly, jaffer, dravid, kartik, gambhir scored tons. The opening partnership between jaffer and kartik look settled and the middle order is amongst runs. and bolwers esp. zaheer and kumble bowled really well na dbagged wickets. and youngsters also impressed esp. gambhir, kartik. Though fileding and catching needs to improve before england tour. The bangladesh also will have learnt few hard lessons in test cricket and this exposure will hopefully make them better with couple of guys looking good.
