I'M DISCOVERING AS MUCH ABOUT ME ON HERE AS I AM ABOUT OTHERS HERE, what is the most important thing you have discovered about yourself through the mylot discussions?

That I do have some useful information and advice that I can pass on to other people. That I am not invisible as my replies do not always get overlooked but sometimes get replies. It is helping to build up my confidence again.

I know what you mean, I too have learnt a lot through discussions on here, I think I have also learnt to have a lot more tolerance for people from some other countries which I didn't have before, I have come across some lovely people on here and I thank them for the lessons they them would not be aware they have taught me but they have...

I think that the most important thing I've gained through MyLot is realizing other ways of thinking. I also think it helps all of us become more tolerant of those that are "different" from us. Just because we don't agree on something doesn't mean that we can't understand and even accept someone elses reasoning for a belief. I think it's opened a lot of eyes and hopefully created a bit more open minds.

It's the paradox - to give is to receive. Very often on myLot or with clients, I begin to discover more and more about myself. As we discover more about ourselves, we are beginning to lose the disintegration that the ego seems to favour and gaining great integration. You always find yourself "out there" amongst those you communicate with. When emotions become involved in any way, we are being presented with an opportunity to transcend them and learn more about who we really are. So the "bad" is really the "good" quite often. As I type this I am learning about myself and what knowledge is buried in the creative mind (subconscious) and reinforcing what I really already know. You already know it too in the same way, but there may be some barriers, preventing this knowledge from surfacing. Much of this growth and development stuff needs to be tautoligical as we penetrate more and more layers of the inner mind like skins of an onion. The fact that we believe we don't really know, is an illusion.:-)

Without a doubt. In Zen practised, which include some martial arts, when practiced correctly from a spiritual-development point of view, it is said the we need to do an action for millionth time with the same mental focus as we practiced it the first time. In zazen, focusing on the breaths, we see that each breath is a breath, yet no two breaths are ever the same. So each deserves our full attention as they sustain the life force in us, unconditionally.

I thought I a was a very patient and well adjusted person. Well, I have been shown here how impatient I am in various aspects, in discussions and in mylot in general, I am waiting impatiently for payout, I want that reward for instance. Yes that is the biggest difference in how I saw myself before mylot and now.

That there are actually a lot of people that get on my nerves because of their closed mindedness. But on the other hand it is interesting to see how people develop as they go along.
