hi friends ,can you tell me the name of a software by which i can movies from the dvd disc and convert them into avi files that is to small files. please name the software you use

DVD santa. This software will convert to various formats including avi. You can get a 30 days trial version from dvdsanta website.\ ash

Super is a program that will convert most video formats back and forth between each other. It won't decript the dvd but if it is an unencrypted dvd or has been decrypted then you can use this to convert to avi or divx or even wmv. There are many other formats it can convert to and from. It is open source so it's free.

When i use windows i have dvd shrink, i think is a good software for ripping dvd
