Ice--Good or Bad for the Skin?

Is it good or bad for your skin if you rub ice on your face. What does ice do to your face, help it or hurt it? If it helps it, how often should you do it, and when? (Before of after washing face?) Thanks!

I think it is neither good nor bad (in moderation, of course). Ice will bring the blood to the skin. If not done too often, that ought to have a good effect because it means that your skin would benefit from the increased blood flow. I think that ice would also tend to close the pores but only temporarily. That might be useful in some facial treatments.

hi there. i used to rub ice on my face when i was younger and i really thought that it would make my skin glow. but honestly, it really didnt bring any good to my skin. yeah, my skin felt really tight and taut a few minutes after putting ice on my face, but as i went through my day, nothing special really happened to my skin. lolz. and i heard that ice is not really good for the skin unless it is injured or somehting because it causes constriction of our veins which would cause us to have those fine little veins appearing on our cheeks. yikes!
