Possible 2 hour series Wrap-up in the works

There are talks going on right now for a possible two hour movie to wrap up the series. From what I've heard the original writer for the series is in discussions right now with the actors and the powers that be in order to give all us Gilmore Girl fans what we deserve: A Real Ending to the Story! Since the pilot episode the original writer (I can't remember her name & I don't have the paper I read this in right in front of me)already knew what the final four words of the series would be. Unfortunately for us and the actors of the show these final four words were never devulged and certainly not spoken in the final episode that aired a few weeks ago. Both Lauren Grahm and the actor that played Luke are extremely intrigued and from what I gathered are willing to sign on to this project in order to find out. The questions that remain are one, will this be a TV movie or big screen? As far as I'm concerned I hope it's a "made for TV" sort of thing. And two, what the hec are those final four words???

Well I for one hope they do make a movie to tie up loose ends. But I don't know that I would want to wait 2 years to see it. I would also like to know what those final four words are suppose to be. Did you find any thing to support this on the web? If so could you share the website address? I would really like to read it.

I really couldn't help but to feel a little disappointed on the series finale. I mean they did a good job with wrapping it back to the beginning by having them at Luke's getting coffee, but I mean come on already. This season just kinda drop which really bothered me. So many times I didn't want to watch because it was bad but I really wanted to know what was going to happen. Also up until this season I hadn't missed an episode. :-) Hopefully the movie will come out. I would like to see that but also hopefully it will be what I'm expecting.

I actually really liked the finale episode but I do agree with you about being worried that the movie may not meet expectations. How many times do shows try and have reunion episodes only to have them bomb? I guess we have to be careful what we wish for.

As long as they do it right! We totally need a little closure. I hope they don't pop into the future too far and have Lorelei and Luke married with children of their own. I want to see the wedding. I also hope Rory finds some real happiness too. I also really want to know what Sookie names the baby.

I read the same thing as you. I would like to see it come back as a 2 hour TV movie, although from the pieces on the internet, it would be about 2 years before it would be made. I can wait. Scott Patterson won't be going anywhere. He's wonderful as Luke, but he is not likely to get many more parts. It's a shame. Lauren Graham's career seems to be taking off, so I hope she keeps a part of her heart soft for 'Gilmore Girls.' I remember when she was on 'Caroline in the City' and then 'Townies.' I wondered when she would ever get a hit. And then came Gilmore Girls. The ending just didn't feel like a series finale, and I know at the time, they didn't know the show's fate. But with the creators of the show at the helm, a reunion movie to wrap up would be heaven.

Two years it too long. I think a lot of people will have lost interest by then and you have to wonder if the integrity of the series would be lost over such a long time.

I have to say I was a little disappointed with the final Episode. I was upset at fist because the only TV shows I love right now are re-runs of Will&Grace and Ugly Betty. I think I was addicted to looking forward to Tuesday. At first I felt let down. Now I feel that I would not even be interested in re-runs of GG or buy the DVDs. I truly am over it. As great as it was I am not into the whole movie idea. Lauren Graham has moved on to other movies and stuff and so must we my friend.

i remember years ago seeing an interview done with amy sherman pallidino. the creator of the show. anyway she had talked about then of the fact that she knew how to end the show and the last lines of the show. i'm really dissapointed i never got to hear what her thoughts were. she was a brilliant writer and i don't like the fact that the show ended with out her as a writer. i'm very curious to hear what the last lines would of been if she were still writing so i'm really hoping they do make this episode.

I would love that, there is so much more to say, two hours is not enough but atleast it would be something.

while this sounds interesting. I think I'd rather it just end the way that it did. I know not all the actors wanted to continue, so even if this tv movie came to fruition, not all the actors would be there, so it definitely wouldn't be the same. I realized amy palladino wanted to make sure those words got spoken, but she did leave and there was talk from the beginning of the season of this one being the last. I'd rather they just leave it and I'm perfectly happy with the way it ended. I dont' feel like it all needs to be resolved, I felt like it was.
