Do you drive a stick shift or an automatic transmission?

I drive an automatic for one reason, I never learned how to drive a stick shift. My dad taught me how to drive and we only had an automatic. I want to learn how one of these days though.

With a lot of stop and go traffic like a city, i like driving my automatic! As for country and highway driving i really enjoy driving the 5 speed standards! It takes some practice, but once you learn, your driving pleasure will double! Take care Gumball.

I drive an automatic as that is the only thing I know how to drive. My father didn't have the patience to teach me. He taught my sister but never me. I guess he didn't think I could learn it. I have always wanted to learn to drive one. I like so many vehicles and usually the ones I like are standards and so there goes that idea because I don't have anyone to teach me now.

I drive an automatic but prefer stick shifts. Those who drive sticks would agree that other than the frustration of driving in traffic, they are more fun to drive and you feel more in control of the vehicle (you actually feel you are moving the vehicle). Another reason for my using an automatic is because they are more accessible in this country so I don't have a choice. If I were in Europe esp in Englang I'd definitely be driving a stick.

I drive manuals. For me I love them because I actually want to drive the car, not just sit there...lol.

I drive an automatic. I learned to drive a stick shift when I was first starting to drive, but I was never very good at it. I could do it if I absolutely had to, but I just never really got the hang of it. I was always stalling. lol I plan to stick with automatics!

I drove a stick for years and years. But, once I got my automatic Nissan Xterra, I don't think I'll ever go back to stick. My hands have arthritis now and I think it would be hard to go back because of that too. I learned how to drive on a stick.

I drive an automatic now, but I drove a stick shift for years. I actually like driving the stick shift, but then again, I like my automatic too. I'm rather indifferent on which kind I drive.

I had to learn on a stick. It was the only car my parents owned that I could take the test on. I've only ever owned stick shift cars and I love them. If I'm driving an automatic I tend to accidently slam on the brake thinking it's the clutch!

I drive an automatic for the same reason as you. I learned on a automatic and never had or even tried to drive a stick shift.

I think that stick shift is the best one but with that traffic is almost impossible to switch shift every second so I chose to don't make my life bad and to by automatic one.
