Is it possible to be too tanned?

It is possible to be too tanned. When I read this discussion, I thought of the "Friends" episode where Ross went in for a fake tan and counted way to slowly in the booth and ended up getting sprayed twice on the same side. Then, he tried to even it out and did the same thing again. I think the extreme tans look very unnatural. Additionally, I do not find them attractive.

I do as much as I can to keep my skin as pale as I can. I like my skin pale and smooth and even, like porcelain. I think it looks clearer and healthier when it's pale, so I use factor 60 sunblock, big hats, a parasol, and long clothing to keep it pale.

When i saw your discussion, i immediately thought about the movie: theres something about mary. in the movie, cameron diaz plays the lead,and she lives with a woman who tans constandly. it looked sickening. ugly isnt the word. watch it. its a very good comedy. but a fake tan that was done badly,can be spotted a mile away.

The bad looking tans are usually either the people who have so much sun damage that their skin is like leather, or the awful fake tans that make people look orange. I'm super pale, and I'm okay with it.
