at that age, it's just expressing aesthetic likes and dislikes, rather than racism, but it sounds like you dealt with it well.
maybe just say that people like different colours, and some peoples favourite colour is brown, and they find brown skin very pretty.
and that it's okay to think that someone isn't pretty, as long as they are kind to them whether they are pretty or not, because th... |
 | Galena responded to a discussion called Why do you think some women don't want to bear a child? in questions & answers. 1 day ago
I know why some women don't want children.
the desire isn't there. simple as that. it's the same as not wanting a dog, in my book.
a friend of mine is about my age, just short of 30, and she has NEVER had a pet. not so much as a hamster. not even a goldfish.
to me, a life without animals as companions is far too sterile and empty. she's missing out on something so wonderful. I can't... |

I haven't done since I was at school. I feel that I learnt all I needed to of it there, and haven't felt any need to read it since. |
 | Galena responded to a discussion called At what age did you or would you start to tell your children about religion? in religion. 1 day ago
on my first day at school, I was called up in front of everyone and SMACKED by the headmaster (which I'm not sure was even still legal then, now I think about it.
why?because when they said "let us pray" everyone else bowed their heads and I didn't. this was the first time I'd personally experienced Christianity, as a child in a Pagan family, and for that, I was physically assaulted ... |
 | Galena responded to a discussion called Why do kids think it's okay to push or cut in front of an ADULT?? in children. 1 day ago
it's not just a child thing.
there was a point in time where every lunchbreak I'd go to a particular shop, and about the same time there was the same old lady there.
now a lot of shops have the little zigzag bit where you queue up, and nearly every lunchtime, she'd just walk past me and the rest of the queue, to the tills.
old people are every bit as rude as children, but they have... |
 | Galena responded to a discussion called Men and condoms and women and condoms in sex. 1 day ago
I like them.
I am on the pill and married, but I still prefer sex with condoms.
mainly because it means I can curl up and go to sleep afterwards without cleaning up any mess.
and I love the little tickle on the way out you get.
and having 2 98% effective forms of contraception going at the same time is always going to be a good thing. |
 | Galena responded to a discussion called Wedding and Honeymoon? Which would You Rather Spend More On? in life. 8 hours ago
we spent much more on the wedding than the honeymoon.
the wedding is the biggest and most special day ever. the whole day was beautiful and perfect. we didn't stop grinning and laughing all day, and stayed up very late because we just didn't want it to end and were too happy to be tired.
about the first half of the honeymoon we were too tired to do much, so it was just an opportunity to ... |
 | Galena responded to a discussion called Why do people refer to GOD as a HE? in religion. 9 hours ago
when I refer to Gods, there is male and female.
I have a Mother Goddess and a Father God.
after all, this is far more logical than one being of one gender creating life alone. |
 | Galena commented in a discussion called Why do people refer to GOD as a HE? in religion. 8 hours ago
and you perhaps don't know any prechristian mythology. Egyptian mythology being the very first to spring to mind telling the exact same nativity story of a different God.
almost every religion has a dying and resurrecting Sun God mythos. it's mankinds way of coping with the changing seasons.
when you say "you people" is it like when white people say to black people "I have nothing ag... |
