There is an increasing and alarming news about women, teenagers or even pregnant woman get raped. There is also incest, father rapes daughter or brother rapes sister. Why do you think this happen in our modern society? Are the rapist mentally disturb? Are women partly to blame? Why so?

I do not think that it necessarily happens more but rather gets reported more because women know they will be treated better than in the past by the police and the courts. Also, attitudes have changed slightly so women are stronger and understand that they were not "responsible" for what happened to them

i agree absolutely. Women are becoming empowered and therefore are much more likely to report an attack blessed be

THats what I said. The woman cooperates out of fear. Feasible incase of two assaulters. How can a person hold a knife in one hand and rape a woman. The women could pretend to cooperate and then attach him with his own knife. When the personis fully excited, he will loose his senses. It is then he has to be taoght a lessson. You just have to injure his "organ". The trouble is that in most of the cases the offender is a known one and the women does not want to hurt him. So she has to face it.

They are disturbed, but they're not crazy. They know exactly what they are doing. Most of the times it's a matter of power, specially in serial rapists. They have problems themselves, usually caused by the abuses they suffered themselves in their youth. Victims, women or not, are never to blame. it's an aggression that they suffer, indiscriminate and of course they're not to blame.

In such situation I will say we have to blame partly women, social network and men at large.

Then I guess you are a man since there are not that many women who think that women are to blame for being raped

Studies reveal that rapists are mentally disturbed people. I feel without womens co-operation or consent it is difficult for rapists to enter them.

I feel women are equally to be blamed. If I were a women I feel i can prevent anyone from penetrating me unless they are more than two. I will fight and injure their organ. If I am not willing, I will not allow anybody to penetrate inside me and also keep "it" inside me for enjoyment. The thing is that once a "would be" rapist is near to commiting it, the women cooperates, could be out of fear, or just for the sake of enjoying it when she thinks it is inevitable.

If it was that easy then I think we would be discussing that the number of rapes had decreased

Obviously your have never seen any photographs of the sometimes terrible injuries that rape victims receive from their attackers. If you had any ounce of sensitivity you might be able to imagine the horror and terror that takes over whn an assailant appears from nowhere, perhaps in the dark of night, in some circumstances, and a woman finds hereself so scared that she cannot even make a sound. Perhaps the attacker has a knife against her throat and says he will kill her if she screams.

Well she has teeth, nails, kick to her defence. In case of your fiance, you permit him. I agree taht men are more powerful. But when he is bent upon hurting you, women can assume the role of a "chandi" and hit back. just one punch on his testes will make him lie flat.

These are the days when people are immersed in modernization, globalization, and progress. Capitalism has invaded the territory of morals and values. The institutions of family and society are weak. People work like machines ready to do anything for a living, anything to become rich. In such circumstances morals and values decline. People should realize this. The system of education is to blame also. Education nowadays is commercial, moulding out a specific personality, and specialization, made to the specific order of the parents' aspirations and the societies' cultural and social modes. A lot more changes, more drastic, is bound to happen. If you were to visit this planet in about a century, you would immediately die of cultural shock or think you are part of a virtual game.

This really has nothing to do with rape. Rape has been around since the beginning of time

To me it is the rapest then the system for not making the punishment so severe that they will never see freedom again. The victim is just that a victim and they had no control of situation adn they could nto do anything to stop it other wise it would never of happened. The victim is usually too scared in somecases or in the case of incest the family member uses the fact that the victim will not tell on them becasue of hurtign other family members.

In my opinion, rapists don't deserve to live. Most of them are not mentally disturbed, but they are just animals that can't control themselves, and don't think of the consequences of their actions. The women are never to blame, because they are victims, not crime partners. So, rape is a cruel thing to happen, and should be seen as a real problem of our days, as there are so many girls and women that suffer because of it.

Hi DawGwath, and I think that is the reason why most parents are very protective towards their daughters. Thanks for your response.

Yes, it's a shame though that you have to take someone's liberty this way, but it's the best thing to do.
