you are walking and suddenly you see a $10 bill lying flat in the pavement. will u pick it up without the knowledge of others? just ignore it ever existed, but go back home and muse about ur loss? stand back and see how it turns everyone passing by crazy? what will u do?

it invovles some tactic too u know, u cant act nervous look around to show people tht u aren't its owner. just bend down casually pick it up and walk straight ahead. lol isnt it fun even to visualize such feat

I would pick it up-and not care who saw me. I would try to find it's rightful owner-look around and see if someone's looking for it-before I put it in my pocket, though. If there was no one, it would be mine.

it is urs once you see it. what if the wrong person comes up and says it is their's. the best bet would be to pocket th bill silently and leave.

If I saw a $10 bill just lying on the sidewalk I would certainly stoop and pick it up. I would look around and if I saw some one standing near by I would ask them if it belonged to them. If it didn’t I would be $10 richer.

That would depend on what kind of person you are. If you are honest and you did drop it then it is your and I would give it to you. If you are dishonest and say it is yours you will still get it because I won't know but my conscious will be clear and I won't be any worse off than I was when I founf the $10 bill.

If it is 10.00 I will pick it up. Why would I watch someone else pick it up? Believe me if person A does not pick it up, then person B will. Besides, why go home and think about it? No, 10.00 I will pick up. a 1.00 I will walk by and not think anymore about. What would you do?

To be honest, I will pick it up. It's easier than we spend long time here to reply and think out new discussions for $10.

very true, starting discussions and waiting for answers is much tough than just picking up the bill. waiting in my lot for tht amount would take ages i feel.

No, 10.00 I will pick up. a 1.00 I will walk by and not think anymore about. But if I know the owner of the bill, I will return it to the owner. I don't want a bad dream at night.

the owner must be a careless rich crook who might never even know it existed. real poor people i feel are very careful and will start lookng for it sooner or later

If I didn't see someone drop it, and there is no one in the immediate vicinity who looks like they dropped it I would pick it up. If it were a whole wallet I would take it right to the police station and leave all cash and cards intact.

If there was nobody around looking for it or anyone looking like they could have lost it as they walked by then I would put it in my damn pocket! LOL I'm not gonna lie...if its just sitting there and nobody is around its obviously "lost" and someone is bound to pick it up so it might as well be me ;-)

If it was just lying there and there did not appear to be anyone around who looked as if they had dropped something then of course I would pick it up.

If no one appeared to own it or was looking for it...I would pick it up and it would be mine. I am not that rich that I can bypass $10.

I would pick it up of course.....if everyone else is walking by it then obviously they don't see it or want it. After picking it up I would wait and see if anyone comes around to look for it.

It depends on how much of a hurry I'm in. If I'm planning on being somewhere by a certain time, I'd likely pick it up and walk on. If I don't have any real commitment, which I usually don't, I might pocket it and wait there for a few minutes to see if someone comes looking for it. If they do, I'll give it to them. When I was living in Turlock, I went shopping one evening at the local dollar store. When I was finished, I started out, and was passing by one of the clothing stores when I saw a lady's coin pouch lying on the bench. It was made of beads, all black with a white martini glass and pink cherry. I put it in my pocket and sat on the bench for a few minutes. A young couple came out of the clothing store, and walked straight to their car without ever looking in my direction. No one else came. When I was tired of waiting, I went home. When I got home and opened the pouch, I kind of felt bad that I hadn't waited a bit longer. There was $140 in twenties, and a little bit of weight in change. It may have been my lucky day, but certainly not for the loser. :(
