Here is a poem that my mom wrote to my brother and I that I would like to share. Please let me know what you think. Pain and awe flying high Time, please wait that's his first cry ---a mother A skinned knee a torn pink dress Arms reaching up a small voice says ---Mommy Untied shoes tousled hair In grubby hands a flower's there ---for you, Mom Sparkling eyes face so dear The doorbell rings her boyfriend's here ---he's cute, Mom Proud and tall so sure, so right Licenese to drive the furute's bright ---don't worry, Mom A dreamy look excited plans A tear,a smile two golden bands ---I love him, Mom Anxiety grips hope runs wild A tiny sound my child's child ---hello, Grandma

I like that. I'm not much for poetry appreciation, but I really liked that.

I'm not a crier, but by the end of the poem I almost teared up. Please tell your mother she has a tremendous talent that obviously comes from a generous and loving heart.

Wow! Be sure to tell your mother that her poem was just beautiful. I was almost in tears at the end because my daughter just turned one last week, but I know in time I will experience all of those.

Thank you, I will tell her. My son is now learning to drive, so I'm at that point now. I have read it many times and it still puts me almost to tears.

Hi. Really really really very nice. It is really sweet, specilly the last one when the mom no longer is only a mom but a grandma. In the whole day today, this is the one small time I have enjoyed something, thank you.
