How do you think this meal will turn out? There are so many slow cooker recipes that are basic with cream of mushroom soup, dry onion soup mix and water or beef broth. I decided to try something a little different. I put a large package of drumsticks in the slow cooker this morning. I mixed together a sauce with cream of CHICKEN soup, CHICKEN broth and dry onion soup mix. I sprinkled the chicken with poultry seasoning (which included a bit of chili peppers because someone poured some chili peppers into my poultry seasoning container), some basil and added a bay leaf (freshly bought yesterday). I will serve it with mashed potatoes.
Does this sound good or have I made a mess of tonight's dinner? LOL!

That sounds good. My hubby tends to experiment with our slow cooker. He is in charge of the cooking on the weekends. He comes up with some great meals. Just use your imagination and you will do fine.

That sounds yummy. I use cream of chicken soup in a few different recipes that I make in my crockpot instead of the mushroom kind, too. :) It's good for a change. I don't know that I've ever used cream of chicken soup with the dry onion soup mix, though, but I still bet it will taste great!

I used one recipe in the slow cooker with Cream of Chicken soup and it didn't turn out well at all. I figured mixing it similar to how I make pork chops and roast beef with the change to chicken products for chicken seemed to make sense. I'm hoping the added spices will give it a little extra flavour.

Mmmm That sounds nice I have on cooked one chicken dish in my slow cooker and that was Laksa which was really yum......I hope you Enjoyed your meal:) Let us know how it turned out.....

That sounds wonderful. I love to use Cream of Chicken soup and now I have another recipe to use it in. Thank you. You'll have to let us know how this turned out.
