Bcci had made very good decision currently they are giving chances to all the young players so that they can analayse each players skills how they are handling the situation. Dhoni is a very good batsman,he has proved that he is good batsman and keepar,so currently they have given new task as a vice-captian we can see how he is handling. if he is not perfoming well we can give chance to new young person like karthik and so son.

frankly speaking i dnt support this decisson. he is still not tht exp. to make him the vice captain. but then we dnt have much choice too. not much of the india team players can call them permanent, so how can they have a role to play as a vice captain so actually i am very confused about the decission

I think it is a good move. Wicket keeper has important role in the team as he gets a good view of the feild position and batsman's hiting jones by observing his foot work closely while keeping. Thus it is a good idea in making him Vice captain.Dhoni is smart enough to use it successfully. If it does not work then they can try yuvraj. As we can see Gilchrist,Boucher, sangakara are vice captains of succesful teams.

It was indeed a surprise for me too hearing such a news. I don't know what all is going on in selectors mind. Their are so many elder players in the team who are much more experienced then him. He is a good player, a good wicket-keeper and a reliable player too that might be the reason that selectors tries to put some extra bit of responsibity on young shoulders.

Dhoni is a very good and consistent player, who can be trusted upon at the crucial times. But it should also be considered that he is relatively new to Indian team. Sachin, who usually performs well, didnt do well when he can given the captainship. Dhoni should be made as a Captain in a smaller matches and based on his performance, he can be decided on the future matches. Captainship is not only the playing well, but the team management too. This is a important criteria.

I support the decision to make Mahendra dhoni as the new vice captain, he has been by far the most consistent batsman in the recent past, considering his primary role as keeping, he has done a stupendous job. Giving the post of vice captain to him is just a reward for his performance and consistent showing off late.

I feel Dhoni is surprise choice but good one. As he is ready to take new responsibility as besides palying swashbuckling knocks and playing responsibly when needed. He also keeps well has good cricket mindand has cool head which can be handy. And like gilly for aussies be can view best what lenght and line to bowl to particular batsman as he watches him from best position so his inputs could be helpful. Though one can't rule out yuvraj he has of late had injury problems so maybe that went agaisnt him.

Dhoni is a nice player too, but playing is different from (vice)captaincy. I vote for yuvaraj singh.
