it depends on the movie. there are movies that i want to watch on a big screen like spiderman. but if it's just a typical movie, i'll prefer to watch it thru DVD.

buying a DVD it's out of the question, vcr I don't have... I have a computer trough... neah nothing beats the cinema even if it's not always comfortable... I think that not even a home theater would match the cinema. Now why would I think that? :)

Should it be a movie that I really want to see (recent movies include "Knocked Up" or "Pirates 3") then I will head to the movie theater to go and see them. However, if it's a movie that doesn't look too appealing to me or not worth it, then I will either buy the DVD or just wait until it comes out to rent or on television.

I prefer to rent DVD's from Netflix. I pay a low flat fee every month and they send me movies all month long. there are never any late fees and you can get as many movies as you like each month. It is all postage paid and you never have to leave the house to get them accept to check the mailbox when they come and mail it back.

Depends on the movie really. For the movies with a lot of special effects that can really use that big screen and big sound, then the theatre is the way to go. Spiderman 3, Pirates 3, Fantastic 4 2, and Harry Potter would all be better on the big screen while something like Knocked Up would be just fine on the TV screen. Of course, since the nearest decent theatre is over an hour away from me, I tend to see everything on DVD...or torrents but don't tell anyone that.

i prefer to buy the DVD and watch it at home over going to the cinema and watching the movie, because i can keep the DVD forever but i can't keep the movie with me which i watched on the cinema and i can also see the DVD while i am doing anything or getting bored
