It's no secret that the Terry Schivo case brought about a lot of controversy about having a living will a few years ago. I now have a living will and I had it done for less than $40.00 online. You don't need to hire an attorney to get it done. Here's the website I used: http://www.legalzoom.com I highly recommend this site for it's prompt service and professionalism. Do you have a living will my friends?

I know this is a late but thank you for sharing this site. My husband and I don't have a living will and because he has been travelling a bit over the last couple of months, we have been talking about getting one done. We have voiced our concerns and decisions of what we would like to be done but have not put it down on paper. Thanks again.

I don't have a living will but all of my family knows all my wishes. I think think that's good enough for now. I do think it's important to have one if you can't talk to your family about things like this. I know some family members don't like thinking about these types of situtitons. I think it's really cool too that you can get one done online!! Thanks for sharing that :)

I do not have a living will. You are correct- the Shiavo case made a lot of people go out and do them. I haven’t yet- I should- I have a child- I think that is a great time to get it done- because now you have a responsibility- $40 is dirt cheap for this- I’ll look into the website later at home- thanks for the information.

We have a will drafted through our attorney, and it is essential to have a will it makes live so much easier for your loved ones, when it comes to serious decisions, like organ donation and terminating machines when you are possibly in a vegetative state.

Glad you have one and it's very noble of you to contribute to help with medical research. I had no knowledge of the website you've shared. Thanks for including it in your post.

A living will is a document that expresses your wish to be kept alive on life support or not. If you became incapacitaed and couldn't make decisions about your medical treatment, the living will speaks for you. I hope you check out the site because you can learn more about this topic.

Yes I do I have made several people aware of my wishes, and you are great to bring up this subject, because you just never know what the future brings and that was such a sad mixed up Case from the get go. And to be honest I am not sure what I would have done. This way if it is told to others than there is no question, it is all down in black and white, and your wishes will be done.

Hey RobinJ, Thanks for your response and I'm glad you have a living will. At least we've spared others the burden of deciding what to do if we are not able to speak for ourselves because of a medical condtion.

No, I don't have a living will. I was going to get one when I had the stroke and wanted one in case if anything ever happens to me and I told my husband that I don't want any kind of machine to keep me alive he felt sad but I told him it will be a waste of time and money and yet to let me go. Thanks for the information about where to get one so now I know where to get one :) Thanks
