I just found a site that is great for writers. Writespot.com is a free online community for writers. At the Write Spot, you can learn, share, and grow in many areas of writing such as fiction, non-fiction, freelance writing, and poetry. WriteSpot.org offers you the tools you need to succeed as a writer, arming you with valuable information and advice. It also provides a platform for sharing your poems, short stories, articles, and essays. WriteSpot.org is updated on a bimonthly basis, on the first and third Tuesday of each month. http://www.writespot.org

Interesting site, but it's not quite as content rich as sites for writers like http://www.absolutewrite.com, http://www.writersweekly.com, http://www.fundsforwriters.com, http://www.journalismjobs.com, http://www.mediabistro.com, http://www.writerswrite.com and sites like that. I think what bothered me the most about this site is the Online Writing Jobs section hasn't been updated since 2006 - that's a LONG time to be scouring and revamping that section.

I just got done taking a look at the site; but, I don't see anything about it paying me to write there. As a matter of fact, they had a link asking for donations.

Sounds good for me. I hope I have enough time to contribute to it. I joined at least four sites already. But I do love to write.
