LOL:-) I do admit sometimes it truly does happened to me and it hurt so bad, reason it's hard for me to walk normally at times.:-) How about all of you here? Please do share your experiences, thanks!

Well it has happened to me sometimes...specially when i get carried away in the computer because i am having lots of fun. When i try to stand up i go like Wow, butt is flat and achy LOL. But well, nothing that cannot be cured by a 10 minute walk.

That is true, we can't even noticed sometimes how long we've been sitted from the time you work on your computer it's because we're having so much fun on it and true, we got carried away at times. I too sometimes felt like my butt got cramps because of such :-)

ROFL! You got me laughing good with this one hon! It took a few minutes for me to get myself back together so I could respond. And yes....I do suffer from that lovely affliction from time to time. Fortunately, when it does hit me, I am the only one home (except for the cats...and they think I'm nuts anyway! LOL). So no one sees me doing my weird little dance to try and make the pain stop. LOL

My butt only aches if the chair isn't padded and I don't sit at chairs that aren't padded for a long time so I very seldom get buttaches.

Yeah, it's good that it only happened to you very seldom than usual...still sitting on a padded chair is a very much recommended to those who work sitted for a long time. :-)

Imelda, I do give it to you straight, sweetie! :) Alright, yes, I do get butt aches! Sometimes I get them when I am sitting at the computer too long. However, the times I get them the most? I am going to tell you....it is when I sit on the toilet too long. Yes, I admit it! I sit on the toilet and read magazines. If you have not tried it, do so. Sure your butt hurts for a while, but before that--it is so relaxing. Not only does my butt hurt after I am sitting awhile but my feet fall asleep!

That's right kev, we need to get up at least for few minutes to let our butts have it's rest a while before it's too late for it to flatten out and fall asleep LOL :-)

Hahahaha, yep, all the time, sit for too long in an uncomfortable chair and my butt falls asleep. I don't get the shooting pains of "pins and needles" like I do when my foot or leg falls asleep, but it is numb and it feels funny to walk until it "wakes" back up

Lol yes it does makes our butts fall asleep when staying too long specially in an uncomfortable chair you said, oh it will surely give us aches and pains in our body specially to our main subject which is our 'butt' itself. :-)

I try not to sit too long for a period of time. This way my behind doesn't hurt and my legs don't get stiff.

I get a variety of aches, more so in my knees and back from the lack of activity if I am myLotting too much. I am thinking that I need to put an exercise plan into place so that I move around every few minutes and get some circulation back and use those sore muscles and joints.

Thank you GardenGerty for sharing. Yeah, that would be a good idea to put an exercise plan for you so that way you could do some other things while you're having break mylotting, then come back afterwards when you feel much more well. :-)

I have butt aches alright lol! I sit 8 hours a day in the office in front of the computer, as my work involves mainly doing stuff in the computer. Not much reason to move around other than to go to the washroom. At night when I go home, I still use computer and do some sideline work. So the butt becomes the most abused, squished and neglected part of the body. :P But it isn't that terrible to the extent that I will have difficulty walking. I can still strut in the street with heels, which I do everyday. Sitting too much causes constipation, so I experience that too sometimes. :)

oh poor butt! Lol :-), Seriously I can really understand the situation specially when you are ought working for longer times and sitted for a while...truly that hurts so much to our butts and normally you will need some comfortable chair for you to sit on. Thanks for sharing.:-)

Oh yes, I get it often. You don't want to be sitting down too long at one time or you may get problems. I tend to stand walk around a little and stretch about every 20 minutes or so when I am on the computer, that tends to make things a bit easier. After all, we only get one butt. They can't give you another one and if they could, it would be hard for them to find a suitable size. They could give you any old butt, large or small. LOL.

I work in an office and I am sitting (or supposed to be) for around 8-10 hours.... Yes the butt does hurt and i found that I was actually getting pains (kind of like butt muscle charlie horses) every now and then. Those weren't fun because if if happened let's say when you were out shopping or something it's not like your could rub out the hurt without looking more than just a little weird lol! Now what I do is that I will get up from my desk and stand for 15 minutes. I will bounce around and back and forth keeping my body moving so that I am getting at least a bit of exercise while still doing my job. A lot of people at my office have gained (on average) 40 pounds since working there over a year. I have only gained 8 pounds. I think this is become I am active while I am there instead of just sitting like a lump and eating junk food from the candy machine.

Thanks for sharing Punky, that's good you've managed to work on this to avoid so much butt pain LOL :-), and yeah while you we're eating during your work hours try to do the standing position while typing at times to digest the food you were eating, so then afterwards it would be much more comfortable for you not to get pain easily. :-)

i get this a lot! sitting in 4 hour lectures can make my butt fall into a butt coma...seriously, i stand up after one of those lectures, and i feel my but...nothing. it has gone past sleep and into the realm of unconsciousness. it takes it a full 30 minutes before i have sensation in my rear end again. there are times when i sit and i have something on my lap, like a pile of books, my butt usually aches after 30 minutes, especially if the books are heavy LOL!

Thanks for sharing teleios, that would be hard for you since you're working as a lecturer I believe that could be a very tough sort of work, isn't it? But anyways, just give yourself a break and stand from where you've sitted every now and then to prevent the possibly pain you may have.
