My 9 year old was asked to sing the National Anthem at WV power park for the Fathers Day game. This will be family fun night and all of the little league boys and girls will have their dads with them. Kurt is a little uneasy about the fact that his daddy is in heaven, and can't be at the game...but he has gotten over that now. Kurt was supposed to sing with a high school girl, and I just found out that she won't be there. So, it will be him singing either solo or with music that he has not rehearsed with. I am in a state of panic. I know that he knows the song and can sing it well...but in front of 5000 people will he forget the words, miss the high note...AHHH!I am coming to you good folks at mylot and asking for prayer that Kurt makes it through tomorrow without any problem. That he is on key, knows the words and hits all of his notes. I will be greatful to all of you for your thoughts and prayers! Thank you so much!

i will be praying for him... i believe everything will be fine... he is a brave little boy... just calm down and rest assured that everything will be fine... it is a real privilege that your son is being chosen to sing the national anthem in front of so many people... he must have a certain quality on him... you must be very proud of him as his mother...

He'll be fine. Don't worry about it. He is anyway 9 years old and he does not have to be perfect. I am praying for Kurt. Someday I hope to have the same thing happening to my kids. You must be a proud mom! =)

I"m sure your little Kurt won't need any prayers. Most kids do very well with the National Anthem and he will probably surprise you and not even skip a beat. Just enjoy his time in the limelight and tell him I said WTG!

yup. kids really surprise us. they can do something we never expect them to do. and i know kurt will surprise his mom and can sing well infront of all those people. and maybe after, gain more confidence after doing it. it's gonna be fun. with the support of all the people who love and believe in him, he'll do everything right... anne

your Kurt can make it. in fact, i think he can do it well. he'll just feel his dad is right next to him and he'll feel comfortable singing the national anthem. and he'll be proud at the end that he did it... ofcourse, with your support, he'll make it... anne
