My husband Mike is now the pastor at Trinity Baptist Church on Chicot Road in Little Rock Arkansas. Sunday night, July 29th our home church Walnut Valley Baptist, will hold a special service to ordain him as a minister so that he can fully pastor this wonderful little church. I am asking all of my friends at mylot to join me in prayer for this occasion. Pray for Mike and I as we prepare to go through the process. Pray for both Trinity and Walnut Valley as they prepare for their parts in the service. Pray that our lives will reflect Christ's love in everything that we do. I know there are several pastors wives and children on mylot. Tell me about your experiences with the ordination service. I've been to them, but haven't ever participated other than providing vocal and piano music for a few.

I pray that his preaching goes well and that the right people will hear his preaching so that they learn something about salvation for non belivers and also hear a good message for beleivers.

boy, that response was quick! It's unusual for us to both be on line at the same time.

He spends so much time in prayer when he firsts begins at the beginning of the week to work on his sermons for the next Sunday. But the more prayers..the better has always been my opinion.

That is exciting. I've been to them, but have not participated except for praying. I know you are excited and nervous, but you will do just great and your husband will do just great too. You know God is with you. I will sure be praying for all involved. And, congratulations on such a wonderful journey you are on. You are going to make a very good pastor's wife.

You know that is the one thing that I worry about the most...is being a good pastor's wife. Then one of my former pastor's wives gave me some advice.."Keep worrying" Because she said when I stopped trying and began to think that I was a great pastor's wife...is usually right before I would mess up..big time.

Thank you so much! All of my pastor's wives friends tell me that this is a very sweet time with my husband and church, but it can be a little stressful as well. Mike is meeting with our pastor each Wednesday moring at breakfast time, so they can talk and counsel.
