Dog fighting ! Another disgusting true story!

A few days ago, on the news, in my town, unfortunately. They busted up a dog fighting operation, which, it's good that they busted it up, I'm thankful for that, as far as I'm concerned, there's no punishment too harsh for these low lifes. Here's what came next, and it disgusted me just as much. Most of the fighting dogs were taken to the pound in my county, and get this! Put in with the regular dogs! Ok, you can all guess what happened next, but I'll tell you anyway, some of the fighting dogs killed some of the other poor dogs! Now, what kind of brain doesn't see this coming? Well, as if all that isn't bad enough, I read in the newspaper today, that, an "unknown person" stole 3 of the fighting dogs from the pound! Ok, so we can all assume that it was most likely an "inside job", since these are considered evidence, you'd think they'd watch them more closely. Ok, now for my opinion. I hate people that are cruel to animals, I feel they are a waste of air! People that train fighting dogs should have the dogs turn on them and tear them up instead of the other dogs, and if that don't happen, then they need to be locked up for life, or worse! Now, in this case! They knew these dogs were trained to kill, so anybody with any sense, would not mix them with other dogs! I hate seeing dogs killed, but in this case, them being fighting dogs, I feel they should have been put to sleep to begin with! That is much more humane than putting them in with other dogs that have no chance of defending themselves, and taking the chance of them being stolen by some other low life and being put back out there in to the same position they were just taken out of. I am just sickened by this situation, and I'd like to know how everybody else feels about it.

I am just as disgusted as you are hon. Dog fighting is a cruel and nasty "sport" that people who are just as cruel and nasty take part in. They should not be allowed to exist on the face of this earth as far as I am concerned. Those poor dogs usually know no other way of life since fighting is what they were trained to do from puppyhood. It's ridiculous! And for those stupid fools to put them in with the other dogs....for the life of me I cannot understand what made them do it besides stupidity itself! Most animal control officers will tell you that not only should fighting dogs be put in a cage by themselves, but also that it's very rare that one can be rehabilitated to the point of being able to go to a good home. Most of them are put to sleep, as the dogs in the article should have been. I have a particular hatred of dog fighting as one of my dogs, Buddy, was just beginning to be trained for fighting when he got out of his yard and found us at my daughter's birthday party. We had taken him home and had him for about two weeks when we learned that information, and I am so glad we took Buddy when we did, because he is such a love and so darned adorable. Also, come to find out, animal control went in later and confiscated all the rest of the dogs out of the home. Thank God!

I've never heard yet as to whether they caught the second lady that abandoned those animals, they did catch one of them. Never caught the dog thieves yet, they think it's the same idiots that had them to begin with, and they let out of jail.

I'm as disgusted as you are. And now Michael Vick is another perpetrator. I do hope he is banned from playing pro sports. He is a disgusting human being. But because he's supposedly such a great player, he'll probably only get away with a slap on the wrist and a fine worth pocket change to him.

Any one that is cruel to animals should be put gbehind bars..they say that who ever is cruel to animals is cruel also to human beings and many criminals have been unkind to animals and abusive towards them as a precursor to their later escapades of raping and killing people. We say we are civilized and leading the World and want to teach the rest of the world about Democracy and Freedom..that's a friggin'laugh lol..Freedom to do evil and crazy things? Is that Freedom? With freedom comes responsibility and the best kind of Freedom can only be lived by civilsed individuals don't you agree?

I absolutely agree with everything you said. It's been proven that most, if not all, serial killers started with animals, and moved on to humans. It's a shame that they give these low lifes the right to either live in prison and make us taxpayers feed them, or kill them humanely, if you ask me, they should be killed in the same manner of the animals, and or, people that they tortured and killed.
