We use Frontline Plus for our dog and never had any problems. Maybe it's time to switch to a different brand?

I use revolution on my dogs. I also got them a LYME vaccine so that if they do get bit they wont get the lyme disease. Its cost a whole 10$, cheap price to protect your pet!!

This year does seem to be bad/worse then last year. We're in middle TN, and we went walking down to our barn the other day. Ended up with a few crawling on us, and the grass is cut through there. My daughter was laying out few weeks ago on one of those wooden mats, she said she had 3 ticks on her back. I'm not sure if it's because it's been so dry out that they've been so bad. I haven't found any on the critters yet though-knock on wood. I use Advantix as well on my dogs, and I treat their "dog yard" with Eliminator for fleas(think it does ticks as well). One thing I think I've "figured out", not sure if this is true though, but I used to use Frontline Plus-mostly for flea control. Then it seemed to stop working, so switched to Advantage. I wonder if fleas/ticks can develop a tolerance to the meds. So now, I try to switch off every year between the Frontline Plus and Advantix. Plus, I think it takes a day or two for the meds to kill the tick once it bites the animal. Nasty little buggers...ick..good luck!!
