Where do you get your music from?

Pretty simple question here. I was wondering where all of you get your music from? Do you dowload it off the internet? If so what is your favorite place? How much do you have to pay per song/month? If you use another place to get your music where is it? Do you like it? Would you recommend it to your friends? Reason why I am asking is because I joined a new site that I found a couple of months ago and I really do like it. You only pay $6.99 per CD and there is absolutely no Shipping and Handling fees whatsoever. And the best thing of all, you only get sent what music you have in your want list, not some junk that you have never heard or seen before. I also download music off the internet from ARES. Great site and absolutely free, plus no spyware or anything like that. Please tell me where you get all of your favorite music from. Thanks!

Nowhere actually! :P That's because most of the time, I listen to the Internet Radio Stations. The ones we have here play awesome music that quite fits my taste. Free and good! ;-)

I could really wish that our local radio stations were up to date on the times and the music, but unfortunately living out in the boonies has limited me to 2 stations and neither are really to my liking. Thank you for the response. :)

I buy my Cds at the flea markets and church rummage sales. That way I can get all my favorites on my computer and listen as I compute. I have a radio on a tool bar from another site I belong to so the music on CD is not that important now. Anyway, I save money by buying them at the flea markets and rummage sales.

Yes, that is a really good way to save some money. I too will pick up a cd now and then at a rummage sale or something similar. Just curious, but what toolbar do you have that plays music also?

Well I got mine from Limewire.com as a standard member, I have no obligation to pay for anything at all. And I think its safe site since it was made in an Open Source program like Operating system of Linux. So i think its safe and free for those like me who want music of my choice.

I have also used limewire and had no problems, except with not being able to find some music.

Yes, I have bought several cd's off of ebay. Just have to be careful sometimes. I got two that were so scratched that I couldn't even play them and then the seller wouldn't give me a refund because I had tried to play them! Utterly ridiculous. But not all experiences are bad. I got my Ozzy Cd's that I had been looking all over for here and couldn't find. :)

I just buy the cd. I like cover art and the booklets, also having an actual case and cd. (I'm not really bothered about saving money personally) Hehe.. I don't buy a great deal of cds anyway :) ~Joey

Yes, it is nice to have the case and the booklet. That is one thing that I miss when I just download them off the internet. Must be nice not to worry about saving a little money. :)

I use limewire.com to get all my music. It free for standard membership and have never had a problem with it. A friend of mine told me about it and now limewire is all I use.

I have used limewire in the past, but it seems to take so much longer than ARES, so I have really just stopped using it. Unless I cannot find a certain song, then I will look on there for it. Thanks for the response.

I don't buy CDS often because I cannot find any music that appeals to me. I normally just buy my CDS at target. I think I download music once. I don't even remember what site I used.

I get my music from all over the place. I buy CDs, borrow cds from friends then rip them, and dowload music illegally from the internet as well. But Lately I have found a much easier and more effective, and safer way to obtain free music through the internet. All you do is go to Youtube and download the flash videos, then extract the audio. Its that simple. However having said all that, I don't just download music off the net, and I do actually go buy CD's from artist whom I do support, but other than those artist, I just download music from everyone else.

Actually i get my music from everywhere. I download some music from the internet, i get it from friends and i also do buy music cds from shops. I think sometimes i can get bored searching for a particular music in the internet as what we would search may not be the most popular music available. Since most of the sites only have popular songs, i find it very difficult to sometimes search the internet.. I havent come across a one stop internet site, a site where i can get all of my songs from. I dont mind paying for it, but i should have a wide range of music to choose from

I use limewire to download musics. We also have Ares installed in our computer and we also use that if we cannot find the music we are looking for in limewire.

I normally buy my CD at the CD shop. I don't have any specific shop to buy. Whenever I feel like buying, I just go to the shop and have a look. In fact, I seldom buy many CDs unless I do love the music so much. Maybe it is like one or two CDs (the most) in a month or two. I never try to download music off the internet :)

I went to Limewire.com where you can download for free. It is shareware so the system downloads from everybody who is linked at that time. I was amazed to find many old songs that you don't even get on CD.
