The Internet is in Danger of Losing It's Neutrality

I have found some information that is disturbing to me. Several big communication companies want to do away with the Internet as we know it. They want to charge content producers and charge users fees and taxes to access the Internet and various web sites. Check out this site to find out what is going on. It is also linked on Craiglist. Thanks. http://savetheinternet.com/=faq Feel free to express your feelings.

Lol... I don't by this at all. as some "watchers" of what we do cannot slow down the site, only the connect and if one loads fast then it's darn idiot to believe another will be slow. There's already someone watching what we do and are doing and that doesn't mean someones trying to take it away.. Sorry sigma (it won't happen) ~Joey Thanks for posting it

I should type carefully... I also forgot to add that if they did this then "personal" data act would be broken. Also many sites and web hosts and just general sites will take a lawsuit to those who are withholding it. Could just be me though. (it would be possible to do it to every user)

There are always big companies that want to get more and more, from greed. Our world is progressing so fast with the computer age. Nothing would surprise me anymore. Have a great day my friend.

Thanks Margie. It is becoming so difficult in knowing who to trust. Greed is a good word, in this case.

Thanks for the heads up! I signed the petition and I also signed up for email updates from that web page so I can stay informed as to what is going on. There have been other things about the internet that the lobbyists have tried to change, like taxing products you buy off the internet and so far, we've managed to keep that off unless you buy from someone in your own state. Anyway...thanks again for the info.

To be honest, it is the things that should not be happening that is happening. It is sad. Law suites that should not be winning are winning and we seem to have no say so at all in anything anymore. I dont think it will happen but if it does, It would not surprise me. Nothing surprises me anymore. I cant believe the things that are happening and nobody seems to be doing anything about them.

I don't think its possible for anyone to be able to shut down the internet. it is much too vast for that to happen and I'm hoping no one ever does try because in our present society, we rely upon the internet for alot of things. Good looking out though.

I would tend to agree. But after looking into the possibilities, I am not so sure. Thanks
