I have found £10 (English Pounds) which is nearly $20 (US dollars). It was just lying on the ground once.
I have found a wallet that he lots of money in it, and credits cards, but I turned it into the police station, as somebody would have been very worried about it. They quickly found the owner to phoned to thank me, which I thought was nice of them :-)

Yeh, if I had ever found a wallet I would turn it in too.
Hey! I just remembered something.....once when I went to use a bank machine, there was $80 it and I had just seen 2 elderly ladies standing by it so I ran out with the money and gave it back to them. They were very thankful and admired my honesty. Honesty really is a good thing....

My children and I once found $50 on the ground, we were in a bad situation, very broke and not much food. I shortly after saw a guy walking up and down the area like he was searching for something, and I felt bad that it could be his money, I didn't go ask him if he had lost money... I used the money to buy food for my kids. I never felt good about it...but my children's stomachs were full

It's perfectly understandable that you used the money to feed your children. I admit, I probably would have done the same myself. Thanks for sharing.
