in my case, Jeff Buckley - Hallelujah. people find it odd that I love this song so much, but it's just beautiful. I think some people find it odd when someone can genuinely love a song that refers to any religion other than their own. but a beautiful, touching song is a beautiful, touching song. Well I heard there was a secret chord That David played, and it pleased the Lord But you don't really care for music, do ya? Well it goes like this The fourth, the fifth The minor fall and the major lift The baffled king composing Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Well Your faith was strong but you needed proof You saw her bathing on the roof Her beauty and the moonlight overthrew you she tied you to her kitchen chair She broke your throne and she cut your hair And from your lips she drew the Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Well baby I've been here before I’ve seen this room and I've walked this floor I used to live alone before I knew ya I've seen your flag on the marble arch Love is not a victory march It's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Well there was a time when you let me know What's really going on below But now you never show that to me do you? And remember when I moved in you? And the holy dove was moving too And every breath we drew was Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Well maybe there's a God above But all I've ever learned from love Was how to shoot somebody who outdrew ya And it's not a cry that you hear at night It's not somebody who's seen the light It's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah..... really beautiful and touching song, but quite simple too. I think this was brought on by watching Shrek the other night. okay, so it's a different version of the song, but the tune works it's way in quite a lot into the whole film.

I really love this song too, Galena, and the fact that it refers to another religion has never really bothered me. In fact, there are songs from many religions and cultures that I am not a part of that I have found beautiful! The last song I listened to was Loreena McKennitt's version of Greensleeves. I have no idea why I love her version so much, but I swear I could listen to it all the time.

Actually, the last song I listened to was a remake of "Afternoon Delight". It was originally by the Starland Vocal Band back in the seventies. But the one I listened to was done by the cast of the movie "Anchorman" with Will Farrell. A friend of mine made me a cd full of parodies and goofy (and somewhat dirty at times, lol) songs. She stuck this on it because we both liked the movie. It has a few with Jack Black that I can't type the names of on here. And it also has a few of the skits they do on WDVE for the morning show. "Afternoon Delight" is really a good song, though. I remember it when it first came out, even though I was young then. I liked it!

Well I just got done with a two-pack. Rammstein's "Hitler" and Rammstein's "Hallelujah" which is very religious and inspiring if you listen to it. Much more than any other namesake.

Actually the last song I listened to was Come On Feel The Noise by Quiet Riot because it was on my dad's digital cable music channel. good song, though.
