Did your mom put you in second place behind your brother or sister? Did she ever ask you to make concessions so that your sibling could have something more than you or win games more often?

I was the oldest....I was always taught to be consciencous about the "younger" children....to protect and be nice.....make the extra effort to ensure they had a good time.....LOL

Where to start there is three girls in my family our older sister and my twin and I. Our older sister got everything she wanted and then some. My twin sister and I where told so often that there where two of us, so we had to share what we got. Our parent would say we are spending the same of your older sister as you two but you have to split it. Well many christmas's our older sister go presents under the tree and we got nothing, because "she needed" the stuff and we did not. One year she got a saddle for her horse, and we where told there was no money left so we got nothing. One year she got dishes and we got nothing, because she had just moved out. Our older sister could do no wrong, she was the apple of their eyes, we where told we where not wanted everday of our lives by our mom. My twin and I are very, very close. We love our older sister but we are closer to each other.

I was adopted, and my parents treated me horribly. My brother always got preferrential treatment & was treated like some kind of god. At any rate, my parents made me extremely unhappy & I try not to speak to them unless I have to.

You are not alone my friend! My mother (who was my real mother, or at least I think) was not the nicest person either. She gave favorable treatment to everyone but me. On most days she was likely to treat strangers kids better than her own. It never seemed fair.
