Do you know what is touch therapy. Doctors say that when the child is sick, it is often useful for the mother to touch her child and comfort him, and this can partly or fully cure the sickness. It is medically proven and practiced by many people...Did you know about it? Do you practice it too?

I think touch is rather important. People usually like being touched, especially by someone they really care about because it means that they are being cared for and that they are loved. It just is comforting. Children especially benefit from touch because it's one of the ways they learn and experience the world around them, so of course I think touch, especially when ill can have healing qualities.

yes I believe in touch therapy, specially to our children but let me start first with the adults if someone is crying or in pain and you touch him, it gives some relief or assurance to patient that you are there for him. for our children its an important bonding to let them know you loved them dearly. I had a premature baby and seeing him very weak and 50/50 chances in the incubator makes me cry and I do talk to him and touches his small and delicate body often, thus I even asked him to have a sign that if he wanted to live then responed to my touch,.. and he did now he is 5 years old and hugging him everyday gives him the assurance that we loved him

i absolutely believe this. i haven't encountered any article yet proving how it works but i guess it is the manner of how one takes care of another. giving the touch therapy means extending your love and care to a patient. the warmth of the hands is the 'healing', pass from one person to another.

Absolutely. There is no doubt in my mind that it helps sick people. I don't know if it is able to cure any disease, but I know the comforting, the human touch helps.

As a CNA I can say touch therephy really does help anyone. with no ones touch one can and probably will die of lonliness. Sad, so next time you see someone in the hall give3 a hand shake or a pat on the back/.
