I found a cool web page. It has an immigrant counter on it's web page to count various things like, Illegal Immigrants in Country Money Wired to Mexico Since Jan 2006 Money Wired to Latin America Since '01 Cost of Social Services for Illegal Immigrants Since 1996 Children of Illegals in Public Schools Cost of Illegals in K-12 Since 1996 Illegal Immigrants Incarcerated Cost of Incarcerations Since 2001 Illegal Immigrant Fugitives, etc. The numbers are very interesting! Take a look... http://immigrationcounters.com/

Now Estherlou, haven't you heard that all these numbers are just made up. The illegal immigrants are doing us all a favor by just being here. We all should be dropping to our knees to show our gratitude for them doing those jobs that no American would do. We should be thankful that they are making our school systems stronger and that they are making sure our health care is adequate. Everyone knows that illegal immigrants are law abiding individuals who are just trying to make an honest dollar. They wouldn't hurt a flea.

I happen to know a lot of illegal immigrants and they are just human beings that are trying to do the best they can for the families. Estherlou, if I was in one of those countries I do would become an illegal immigrant. I have lived in Panama, and visited Guatemala and Mexico and I can tell you that I don't want to live under the conditions they are living in.

Kiss This, when I read your response I thought you were being facetious as no one could really mean what you wrote. However I notice that Elp is reading it as a truthful response. If you are being truthful then I feel sorry for you. Perhaps you and Naty could go and be an illegal in Mexico and see how you are treated there. If you are just joking then please comment and let us know. Thank you.

Your right, these numbers are quite interesting. We can spend over $300,000,000,000 in social services for illegal immigrants but yet we can't make sure that our elderly have enough money to liev on each month. We can spend over $14,000,000,000 on illegal immigrants children to get a free education. Free to who? Well of course the illegal immigrants. Let aloone all of the jobs that illegal immigrants are taking from legal citizens. And people wonder why Americans are complaining about illegal immigrants. Would those illegal immigrants be willing to do the nasty jobs if the didn't make up the difference in other benefits? I doubt it very much. Illegal immigrants are able to take such low paying jobs because of the great benefits the do get. Free health care, a free education for their childre, and low income housing. Give these benefits to the legal citizens of the United States who deserve them.

The words that hit me the hardest were "Since 1929, illegal entry into the United States has been a federal crime." Why, if it's a federal crime, isn't something being done to enforce the law? And what makes us think that any new law will be enforced if the existing laws aren't? These statistics are staggering. It makes me sick when I see US citizens that can't get any help from our government, yet these illegals get it handed to them. What's wrong with this country?

That is absolutely mind boggling. No wonder our economy looks bleak for legals and citizens. Thank you very much for that great website I have bookmarked it. The number are constantly increasing before my very eyes...unbelievable.

I have to whole heartedly agree with whiteheather on this one. It makes me angry to see the homeless veterans, the elderly that are eating cat food to afford their prescriptions, and the children who are living in substandard housing and getting a substandard education while the illegal immigrants bilk the taxpayers out of an insane amount of money. I can understand wanting to be somewhere you can make a better life for yourself and your family, however how disrespectful is it, maybe the better term is selfish, to do it at the expense of those who work hard to earn the right to be citizens?!

Wow it's a really cool web page. Illegal immigrants seems to be a really big problem for people in US. It is the same situation in my country. Maybe even worse. But actually we do need them. In my country Malaysia, immigrants from our neighboring countries cause a lot of trouble in our cities. They are usually involved in robberies, thefts, murder and rape. There are time when the people in my country couldn't take it anymore and the government is forced to send all immigrants, including legal ones, back to their own countries. Although this problem seems to be resolved, our country faced another problem. We do not have enough labor to work for construction sites and other jobs. The solution in handling the lack of manpower is not as what they expected. Today, our government brought in new bunch of labors. I can say things are still like before. Involvement of crimes by foreign labors is still very high. Seems like we are not able to do anything right now. Unless one day the people of my country are willing to work as what the labors did.

WOW! Those numbers are mind boggling! The amount of money wired to Mexico was enough to practically knock me out of my chair. I wish more people would take a look at that site. Maybe it would change their minds about supporting all of these proposed ideas to he;l immigrants stay in our country. Thank you so much for posting this hon.
