I read this book last year and I finally saw the movie. Oh it was WONDERFUL! Has anyone read the book or seen the movie? The movie is with Natalie Portman and Ashley Judd.

I saw the movie and thought it was really cute. I liked the praying scenes that Sister made about the guy and herself. I have not read the book though. Is it much better then the movie or about the same?

Yeah - forgive us for fornicating!!! That was hilarious. I think they were both equally good. With the book you sort of picture what is going on and with the book, you think back on the movie to see if they left anything out.

I don't think I have come across this book yet. I guess I will add this to my list of must reads:P

I read the book when Oprah introduced it in her book club oh so many years ago. I remember the movie coming out and did want to see it but never did. I don't think it is exactly something my husband would want to watch. Eventually I will get around to watching the DVD, or when it comes on TV.

I have done both. I read the book and then watched the movie. I really enjoyed both of them. This is such a good story, plus it is based on a true story.

I remember the book. I saw that on Oprah Winfrey show, and they said it's really a good story. But I haven't got any chance to read it yet. They haven't published it on my country, or my favorite bookstore to be exact. So I haven't got any chance to read it yet. But I saw the movie though. Is it the same as the book itself ? I heard it even better to read the book rather than the movie itself.
