What is your favorite George Strait song?

George Strait has way too many songs for me to pick a favorite one! All his songs are good, but I tend to be partial to "Ace in the Hole", and "Right or Wrong", because they have that Bob Wills touch in them that I like!

Amarillo by morning is a good one! One of my faves is The Chair, though. Very cute! It's a classic example of his laid back, cowboy style. You can almost watch the scene unfold in your head while you listen to it. I have to say though, that I walked down the aisle to an instrumental version of "I Cross My Heart," from the movie "Pure Country." My husband's not a big country music fan, but that song means a lot to me...mainly cuz it's by my first love, George Strait! :0)

I love a lot of George Strait songs and my current favorite is his song entitled "I cross my hear" It's such a wonderful love song and I would love my partner to sing it to me, LOL! The song that you have mentioned is one of my cousin's favorite. And my cousin sings it well too. They (my cousiens)are the ones gifted with a good voice and talent for the guitar.

I would have to agree with you Amarillo by Morning is also my favorite George Strait Song. However, I cross my heart is also a favorite because it was our first dance at our wedding.

OMG! There are so many great songs by George Strait! And which one's my favorite depends on the mood I'm in. So can I list a couple? LOL! When I'm happy, it's "Love Bug," because it's upbeat, fun, and positive. I think it's also the first George Strait song I ever heard. When I'm angry, I like "Give it Away," especially if I'm mad at my husband. LOL! I like "Amarillo by Mornin" when I'm sad, and when I'm in a contemplative mood I listen to "You Look so Good in Love." I like the fiddle in "Amarillo by Mornin" and also in "Adalida." I also like the sound of "We Really Shouldn't be Doin This," as well as its mischievousness (sp?) But if I had to pick just one favorite George Strait song, I think it would have to be "If the Whole World was a Honkytonk," because it's so down-to-earth and simple, yet funny.
