You know I really dont think people should use all those skin products out there for acne unless they have visited a Dermatologist and had a skin analisis and blood test. I have used all different types of products, clearskin Biore, Neutragena and nothing worked I only now found out my acne problems are hormonal. Visit you Dermatologist he or she would know what you should use. So don't waste time and money without knowing the real source of the problem... Let me know what you think

Generally, skin products are designed for the average type of skin. This does not mean that it's a waste of time and money since it's far less expensive than going to the dermatologist and given a product with same content as in the market. There are suggestions on how to know if you need to go to the Dermatologist. One is if you have huge acne and they swell and have very oily face regardless of how much you clean them. Another would be to check your family history, most of the skin disease or specially pimples and acnes generate from your heredity, if the family has it then you will too and since they have tried their best before and to no avail, then it's time to try a good dermatologist. My fathers' side has very bad acne but due to my mom's pimple-free side, mine didn't show that much until around my 3rd year of college. I tried using several products (usually a month or so) but to no avail, still there are infected red spots. That's when I was advised to go to the Dermatologist. With a quick fix, now I don't need to go to her anymore. I just use scent-free soaps (because scents causes allergy regardless of how allergy-free they may say they are). In summary, I suggest you try skin products. But don't mix and match them, use as directed, if they don't work then that's the time to consult a dermatologist. Just my cents.
