I have used mostly electric ovens, but now that I live in the city we have gas. This is taking a little getting use to.Do you think that gas is hotter than electric? It seems like it is to me,are maybe it is just the way I set the temperature. What do think?

Well, gas cooking food taste much more better than electric, as it is much easier to control the temperature that you wanted. We asian uses mostly gas cos curtain foods you need to cook on high & simmer it down, unlike electric the temperature is not that easy to control. Foods that cook on high: Fried Rice, Fried Noodles, Crabs....

I used to have electric stove but now we have changed to gas .I prefer gas then electric because i feel cooking with gas is tastier then electric .I can adjust heat easier then electric because i can see how strong the fire burning underneath the pan .

I agree with mostly everyone so far. I use gas and i love gas. I feel like the food taste better with gas. Not only that like someone said already you can see how high your heat is. I am sure that electric is much safer in the respect to leaking gases and stuff but over all the quality is much better with gas! I hope the gas wins!
