How much extra did you gain and over how much time? It may take at least that much time to lose it again. The best way is to make some healthy changes to your diet, such as eating 5 or 6 small meals rather than 3 large ones, using a site such as www.sparkpeople.com where you can enter what you eat into an online food journal or diary - and this site keeps track of your meals and the calorie, protein, carb, and fat counts. Portion control and keeping a journal will help you stick to a reasonable and healthy eating plan. Drink more water, focus more on natural foods and less processed. As far as exercise, taking a walk is the best way to start! Other things you can do, download or buy a few workout dvds, get a yoga mat, join a gym or a local ymca. Some community centers offer a weekly fitness class too, or an open gym at certain times. Sparkpeople also has a whole database of exercises and how to do them correctly - lots of them just use your bodyweight, and they can be made more advanced by getting an inexpensive pair of dumbells. Just start slow, small changes made into habits have the biggest effect in the long run.

Hi Mandie_mae, The best thing you can do is start eating healthy foods, and doing a 30-40 minute workout, even if its just house work, or plain walking for 40 minutes... I went and bought me a boxing bag and I work that for about 35 minutes in the mornings, while my children are getting ready for school and having there breadkfast. Somedays I will alternate my workout with walking. What ever you choose to do, have fun with it and believe in yourself... All the best to you Mandie_mae...
