mommyboo started a new discussion called Do you expect your spouse or significant other to be a mind reader? in questions & answers.
What about your friends? Do you expect this of your friends as well? Why? What is so hard about making suggestions about things you want or don't want, or mentioning things they do that you LIKE or things they do that you DON'T like? There is no way for people to know things unless you communicate it to them in some way. There's a big difference in not wanting to tell someone 'hey, I w...

I have gotten to the point where I do not tell my daughter about anything unless I know it's a guarantee. Not only is SHE disappointed if something falls through, *I* am not just disappointed, I am ANGRY because people should never make promises they don't keep. If things come up, yes, you SHOULD definitely contact the other people you are letting down and explain why and apologize. These da...

mommyboo responded to a discussion called Expectations vs. Reality in relationships.
It helps to give people an IDEA of what you want and what you DON'T want. If time spent together is a priority (which for most couples it is), then a suggestion of something you want to do together is a good place to begin. Likewise if you really don't want an x-box controller, make sure you let your significant other know that you are not interested in gaming essentials or accessories for y...

Oh good lord.... if you are 'not allowed' to take anything on a bus that is 6ft+ long, then shall we toss out all the men or women who are over 6 feet tall? [em]lol[/em] You know, just in CASE they COULD BE DANGEROUS?

mommyboo responded to a discussion called Getting those bags of mixed greens or a head of lettuce.. in weight loss.

I like the bags - I get them at the 99 cent store so they are literally 99 cents. At the regular grocery store they cost more, sometimes more than buying a bunch of romaine but I guess it depends whether you want to sacrifice a bit more money so you have a precut variety in an easy bag or whether you'd rather save the money and sacrifice variety. After all, if you want the variety, you'll have ...

I'd ask that people actually MEAN IT before offering some sort of invitation if they never intended to actually make good on it. Yes sometimes things happen but a decent gracious person will contact you and let you know something happened.

mommyboo commented in a discussion called Expectations vs. Reality in relationships.

She never said 'he sucks' or that she doesn't appreciate him, what she said is that what she gets never seems to meet her expectations and the reason this happens is because she never SUGGESTS things she WOULD LIKE as gifts or suggestions for things they could do together. Communication is important, nobody is a mind reader so most couples and friends actually DO need to make suggestions now...

Mmmmm... I like to top salads with chopped tomato, chopped hard boiled egg, avocado, sometimes other things like chopped red, orange, or green pepper, onion, shredded cheese, some turkey or roast beef, etc, sliced cucumber - there's no shortage the variety of things you can add to a salad.

I don't consider myself a conservative NOR a liberal, I don't like the connotations of either word. Conservative makes you sound like you are against everything. Liberal makes you sound bleeding heart. I am NEITHER. Birth control. I think EVERY candidate needs to butt out. The candidates are MEN. Since when do MEN have a uterus? Since when do MEN have to worry about getting pregnant? STAYING...

Which would bother you more - daily PE or someone taking away your kid's lunch?

As a parent, would it bother you if you received word from the school that they would now be requiring daily PE so you needed to ensure your child brought shoes in their backpack they could run and...

WHY do we have so many obese instructors, trainers, coaches etc????

I just saw an ad for a show called Dance Moms or something like that. I am appalled at the fact that this 'instructor' is like 300 lbs and not even a nice kind attractive person either.

All I can...
