Is it easy to learn to play the harmonica?

My girlfriend gave me a harmonica as a present.I dont know head or tail of how to play it.I have seen some
wonderful country and western musicians on television
who produce absolutely beautiful music with this simple looking musical instrument.My late Uncle could
play it quite well,but not anywhere near as good as our country and western friends Can anyone tell me if there's any hope for me?

It is so much fun to learn. It just takes practice.
I can't really help you with country and western stuff because I pretty much just play from sheet music. But there are some good sites out there.
HarmonicaLessons.com used to be free, but they still have some free lessons on that site. There are other websites as well that are pretty good.

My uncle plays one too and we really enjoy it when we all get together at family reunions and my uncle and a few of the others get out their mouth organs and all join in. I can't tell you how easy it is to learn, but I know that I really enjoy listening to it. I wish you luck.
