Have you ever lost your jacket in a restaurant?

Are you the kind of person that keeps forgeting everything around? I think I am sometimes. I get driven with my thoughts away and I don't realize reality things... Then when I realize, I get nervvous and try to check everything like "why did I forget?". So when I enter a restaurant and put my jacket on the back of the chair, I find myself all the time checking that it is still there to be sure I won't forget it when I leave. And what is more embarrasing or funny: if you ever forget it, would you be brave enough to go to the restaurant and ask for it? I admit I am to shy for that. I would send my sister, or if I have to do it myself, I would melt and spell some silly void words thinking of the nice waitress mocking on me...

I havnt lost my jacket in a restaurant but in a bus once upon a time. I think i was in a too much of hurry and i forgot to get back my jacket! I got down from the bus and walked for a while then suddenly i remebered about my jacket! oh! where is it? i forgot! I then called up the Bus Station and reported about the jacket, the bus was heading bus station i was reaching there in 1 hour. I reached there in no time and them when the bus came, i told the matter to officials and got back my jacket! That jacket was worth $230!

If I have forgotten it, I certainly do not remember, so I probably am not missing it. I have forgotten jackets at church before, especially if I have to take it off to put on a choir robe. To me, what is funny is that at least twice I have gotten clear home and forgotten to take off the choir collar or stole. I am sure it looks funn to others if I do that. The thing I am always checking in a restaurant is if I have enough money, or if I have forgotten my billfold. I check that over and over. I have never eaten in a restaurant and not had the money to pay. I worry anyway.

My husband once left his new $200 leather jacket at a restuarant in a city that is 70 miles from our town. We were returning home from a long car trip and stopped in this particular town to eat. We got all the way home and he said, "Oh my jacket!" He called the restuarant and they had it. He actually drove all the way back to get it too!

If I were to leave my jacket somewhere I would definetly go back in and try to get it back. That being said, I never lose my jacket. Since I was a teenager I've always worn leather jackets which arne't cheap. So I never forget them. For me, my jacket is like a purse for a woman. I keep almost everything in it. (except for my wallet) IF I were to lose it, I would be in trouble because my keys and everything else would be gone as well.

I forget stuff all the time. I forget umbrellas while taking the bus. I kept forgetting my keys until I started latching them on to my purse and backpack. I forget my jacket in restaurants, too. I sometimes even forget my purse, with the keys attached. (YIKES!) I'd forget my brain if it weren't attached firmly inside my skull. LOL

Aside from your forgetfullness, you should also take into consideration how to overcome your shyness. The things you've lost were gone. No need to devote time thinking them over and over again. Just try to solve how to minimize if not eliminate your forgetfulness and shyness.

Hey m, Not only have I done that very thing (left my jacket on the back of the chair) but in the same resturaunt I left my purse hanging on the chair & believe it or not the employees put it in the safe until I traced my steps back there & called to see if I'd left it-I thought that was very cool b/c I had just cashed my check & seeing that food service workers don't make much they could have taken my money then turned in my purse but it was fully intact. +'s 2 U :D

Actually, I lost one of my favorite jackets in a restaurant. It was a white denim jacket and it had a butterfly pin attached to it. I got the pin as a gift from my kids one mother's day. I was heart broken when I finally figured out that I lost it, weeks later. Now, I'm very careful where I place my jacket so that I remember not to leave it behind.

We went to visit my brother in the hospital 45 miles from where we lived. before we went home we stopped at a restaurant. when we got home and were getting out of the car I started looking for my purse. I realized that I didn't remember picking it up when we left the restaurant. I called the resaurant and asked if they had found it. I had to drive all the way back to pick it up. I was lucky it was turned in with all the contents.

My sister left her bag hanging on the back of a chair in a restaurant overseas. We didnt realise until hours later! We got in the car and rushed back there and they were so happy to see us, no one had even opened the bag, everything was there intact. Her passport, ticket and a large sum of money was inside.

Nope, I'm not the type of person that keeps forgeting anything from restaurant or any place I been. I use to always check my things that belongs to me when I'm outside and make sure to bring it home with me specially those things like important to me like jackets or bags.

No I haven't, but I wouldn't hesitate to go back to find it if I did. There's no shame in going back to retrieve something you've forgotten. A number of times I've left backpacks or duffel bags in restaurants or bars. Because I have to place them on the floor, it's easy to forget about them, especially in a dark place where you can't see very well.
