How often do you update your avatar?

I've been a member here for 4 months and I'm just now changing my avatar. I figured since I just had my daughter's pictures made today I would use one of her new pictures. It was about time for a change. Maybe I will start changing it more often. So do you ever change your avatar? Or does it really matter to you? And what does your avatar mean to you?

BTW I think your new avatar is beautiful. I have had the same one for 7 months as it is a photo of my #1 baby, Schatzie. I enjoy having her laughing all the time. Perhaps I will give the "man" of the house, Pepi, a shot as he is so handsome.

I don't change my avatar because a lot of people recognize others more from their avatar than their name. I get confused when someone changes their avatar so I don't do it.

I didn't think about how it could confuse people. I'll probably keep this avatar for a while.

For few days at the beginning I was without avatar.after I choose my cat I never change it.I don't like change avatars and really confuse me when the people do. I mean I don't keep my friends names here ,as at the real life but i never forget faces ,avatars here.So I just see the avatar I know who is the person. They are few friends of mine that change often ,so always I get dizzy with them lol: Anyway your new avatar of your girl is lovely as was your old one having her in your arms.

I've been here for quite a while now and I still ahven't changed my Avatar, I don't know, maybe I'm just too lazy to update it or maybe it just doesn't matter that much to me. Anyways, I don't see the point of changing my picture, even if I have a shorter hair right now, I still have the ugly face. Hehehe! It's so sweet of you to put your daughter's picture here though.. She's so cute :D

I haven't changed my avatar since I joined. I'm still very recognizable by the happy chubby penguin. All my friends know my penguin avatar and I'm afraid if I change it, then they won't recognize my discussions anymore or know how to find me. I love your new avatar though. Very adorable!

Your daughter is adorable....lol I started out with me and my chihuahua Gizmo and then found this current "Goddess" one.....who knows what I'll decide on.

I have only changed mine twice and It is hard to tell when or if I will change it again. I had my photo to start with but with all the craziness that goes on here at mylot, I thought it was best to not use it. I now just use a avatar that I designed at yahoo.

I've only updated mine once, and that was soon after I joined. I like the one I have of my dog, Mo. Mo is my most constant companion since my husband is busy working or out in the garage, or asleep. My kids are grown up and have their own houses. She's a funny kind of dog, very aloof, and she only likes a few people, though she loves other dogs. I think she was abused as a very young pup, so she doesn't trust anyone much, though she does show affection for me and my daughter.
